Celebrate 14 Days of Love at Disney Parks: Propose Near the Cinderella Castle

posted on February 11th, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Growing up it would seem we used the phrase “I Promise” to get anything we desired in exchange for good behavior. It was the best way to show how much you wanted something, and how willing you were to do whatever it took for parents to say yes.

Now that we are all a little older, we know that a promise is so much more than words of persuasion, it’s the assurance and ultimate commitment to someone that you will abide by until that promise is fulfilled.

A proposal is the perfect example of such a promise. And there’s no better place to make a promise to someone you love and want to share your life with than the place where Dreams Come True.

If your sweetheart has loved Disney all their life, more than likely they’ve imagined and dreamt of a fairytale proposal and fairy tale wedding. Want to know a secret? The majority of guests looking to propose at Disney want to propose at Cinderella’s Castle prior to Wishes Nighttime Spectacular firework show. And who could blame them? It is one of the most romantic locations on the planet!

As part of our Celebrate 14 Days of Love series, I wanted to share that at Disney Floral & Gifts we can totally recommend a proposal idea for you that takes place near the castle.

With a rose created to grant a wish and a keepsake to commemorate this life-changing moment, you can create one of the most magical proposals at Magic Kingdom Park to date!

We don’t want to give too much away in case your loved one is reading, but this happy ending includes you down on one knee and your loved one doused in happy tears. With a Wishing Rose and Bracelet offering, you can propose right at La Fontaine de Cendrillon, Cinderella’s fountain. There, you’ll be able to offer the promise of a lifetime, and still have time to watch the fireworks with the one you love.

Now that’s what I call a Happily Ever After.

And if this sounds like a proposal you would be interested in, let us know in comments. Here’s our opportunity to proclaim our wishes to the Prince Charming’s reading this post.

If you’re ready to set up your fairy tale proposal, then visit our website, DisneyFloralandGifts.com or speak with a friendly Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT.

Stay tuned to tomorrow’s story right here on the Disney Parks Blog, we’ll share how one man made the dreams of his princess come true with a proposal right at Cinderella Castle. How did he do it? Did she say yes? We’ll tell you all about their love story, dream proposal and more.

I proposed to my then girlfriend now wife at Disneyland (her favorite place and now mine too!) back in 2008. I did it in the Blue Bayou Restaurant, and it was a memory we will never forget! The Disney cast members were very supportive and helpful in my secretive endeavor of romance, which I planned in the weeks leading up. And I encourage anyone planning to ask “the question” to do it at a Disney Park; there are so many places, so many ways to do it, there’s bound to be one that fits you and your girl!
