Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures in Corfu, Greece

Last week, I shared with you some of the adventures your family can have with us this summer in Sicily, Italy, and now I want to tell you about what we have planned in Greece. We are visiting several new destinations in the Greek Isles and on the mainland, so check back all this month to learn about what is offered in the different ports. Today, let’s start with Corfu, Greece, an island in the Ionian Sea.

From the town’s medieval architecture to the countryside’s rolling hills and sweeping coastal views, we offer many Port Adventure options for families to experience the area’s charming culture and rich history. Here are just a few of your choices…

Paleokastritsa Bay Lakones Village And Wine – This family-friendly excursion begins with a journey to the seaside village of Paleokastritsa, which is a great spot for you to take a refreshing dip in the blue waters of the bay. Next you’ll head to Lakones, a charming village on the slopes of a lush green hill with 18th and 19th century houses, beautiful churches and traditional shops. Your family will have time to explore the cobblestones streets and eat like a local at a small tavern, and you may even see women wearing the traditional Greek dress here!

Achilleion Palace And Corfu Town Featuring Exclusive Youth Activity – This adventure is perfect for parents wanting to teach their children about Greek mythology in a fun way – and get a little time to themselves! The first destination is the Achilleion Palace, a site celebrating the mythical hero of the Trojan war, Achilles. Then, after a family tour through Corfu’s old town, parents will have chance for some free time while kids join Disney Cruise Line youth counselors in a special activity at a local art gallery painting their very own Achilles statue.

Achilleion Palace, Paleokastritsa Bay And Corfu Town – Adult Only Departure – For those wanting some adult-only time, we offer this tour for just those guests who are 18 or older. Like the family adventure I mentioned above, you’ll explore both the Achilleion Palace and the Old Town of Corfu. In addition, you’ll have time in the village of Paleokastritsa where you can visit the historic 13th century Byzantine Monastery of the Virgin Mary and take swim in the beautiful waters of the bay.
