We’re almost one week away from the big celebration of the 50th anniversary of “it’s a small world” here at the Disneyland Resort in California, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan, Disneyland Paris in France and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. You can join the celebration, too, at SmallWorld50.com. Today, we’re sharing a special “happy 50th” greeting from some of your favorite ABC stars!

Can’t wait to hear more about the sing-along. I’m planning on being at DL on the 10th to help celebrate!

i thought that it’s a small world opened may 28, 1966. How can it be the 50th anniversary or are we taking about the new york world’s fair 50th anniversary i mean if we are talking about the new york world’s fair 50th anniversary should we talk about carousel or progress , it’s a small world and Lincoln. I kown walt disney talked about the 3 project at the world’s fair.

You are correct, Brett. We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of “it’s a small world” at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. And yes – in fact, four other Disney-designed attractions opened at that World’s Fair and we’ll have more about those soon. For this celebration, we’re focusing on “it’s a small world” due to its global impact and presence.

I’m sure Disney Legend Joyce Carlson with Walt, will be smiling down on all their Children of the World!
