If you’re looking for a quiet, tranquil place to unwind, check out the torch-lit terrace at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel. However, if you want to party like the tiki gods, I dare you to go inside! Sam, head salesman of the jungle, has a space at the bar for even the most adventurous tourist. Exotic elixirs like the Uh Oa!, named after the tiki goddess of disaster, Shrunken Zombie Head and HippopotoMai-Tai are served up in style by bold and courageous bartenders. The video below gives a glimpse of how water, fire and ice (sometimes blended) all come together to make up one-of-a-kind cocktails behind the doors of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.

Have you been to see Sam? If so what’s your preferred potion?

  • The theming is absolutely fantastic in the bar. I spent 20 minutes just looking at all the stuff on the walls. My favorite touch is the Paradise Falls jar on the top shelf of the bar!

  • One of my very favorite things about DLR! Love the ambiance, the drinks, the overall feel. And since I’m a big fan of Adventureland, the Jungle Cruise, and had never been to the Adventurer’s Club, it’s great to have Trader Sam’s there for fun, frivolity and great drinks and food. Kungaloosh! (btw Shannon, what does Lama Pa’ipa’i mean?)

  • My husband and I always stop by for a couple of drinks every time we visit the Mouse. My favorite is the Krakatoa Punch. On the next visit we will be bellying up to sit up at the bar!

  • Trader Sam’s is my home away from home! If I am alone I will do Rosita’s Margarita. If the kids are with me then I do either the Shipwreck or Krakatoa Punch so they can see the “happenings!” Oh, and my wife pretty much just calls me Pu Pu Platter as that is pretty much my main sustenance!
