What’s the ‘Attraction’ With Merchandise at Disney Parks

posted on July 1st, 2014 by Michelle Harker, Manager, Merchandise Marketing & Communications, Disneyland Resort

Retro is in! Literally! Here are a few fun finds inspired by our Disney Parks attraction posters that you might want to consider picking up on your next trip.

Spark conversation with your friends, family and guests while entertaining when you let them pick their favorite attraction as their plate. Here are a couple my top picks, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion.

Do you want another reason to love this collection? I have two! The smaller glassware actually features a different attraction poster on each side.

Find the one that speaks to you and pair it with a coaster from another land. Before I go, let’s talk ‘trash’ for just a minute. Trash can salt or pepper shakers, that is. What did you think I was going to say? I am partial to the Fantasyland version. Which land inspired trash have you added to your home décor collection?

Some of you might recognize some of these items, including my personal favorite the Mad Tea Party teacup salt and pepper shakers, from a post fellow Disney Parks Blog author Steven Miller did a few months ago when he gave you your first look at Disney Centerpiece at the Marketplace Co-Op in Downtown Disney Marketplace at the Walt Disney World Resort. Have you had a chance to visit the newly opened location yet?

If you are visiting the Disneyland Resort, find them at China Closet in Disneyland park and Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure park, among other select locations. Not able to make it to one of our Disney Parks? Find select items online now.

Michelle,
We LOVE the retro stuff! Unfortunately, we can’t find the Fantasyland glass tumbler to go with the other 3 we bought (2 @ the Park, 1 online).
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Ricardo! I’m so sorry you were unable to find it. I know they often carry these in other locations throughout the parks, so I would definitely keep an eye out for it. Certainly if I see it, I will let you know. Merchandise Guest Services may be able to help you locate one too, if it’s available.

That’s a winning combination – retro and anything Disney! Walt Disney, his vision for the future and his respect for the past, another winning combination…

Your right James. This has been along time coming. Hopefully this is something that will be offered for a long time to come. Hard to get some of the items. I called guest services at Disneyland and they were able to get me a few of the items and hope to pick up a few more in a few weeks when I go to Disneyland. Yahoo!

Will any of the many sold out items online, like the Haunted Mansion plate, be coming back in stock in the near future?

Michelle Harker on July 8th, 2014 at 5:37 pm

Hi Kevin! I would definitely just continue to check on your visits to the Resorts or through Merchandise Guest Services.

This is so exciting, I may spend all of my summer job money on this stuff! Is these products being sold exclusively at Downtown Disney’s Disney Centerpiece, if so do you know the hours for said store?

did Splash Mountain get left out?

Michelle Harker on July 8th, 2014 at 5:38 pm

Hi Joey! I promise leaving Splash Mountain out wasn’t intentional, I just wanted to feature some of the other great attractions as well.

I bought the Fantasyland tumbler last week at the little shop inside the Castle
