Visiting Antigua with Disney Cruise Line

The first stop on our brand-new 7-night Southern Caribbean voyages is to St. John’s, Antigua. Part of the West Indies, Antigua is known for its gorgeous beaches, lush rainforest, national parks and cities filled with intriguing historic sites. There’s no shortage of fun in the sun there for your whole family! Here are just a few of the Port Adventures you can enjoy …

Amazing Antigua – The perfect mix of history, culture and scenery, this tour takes you to Nelson’s Dockyard, the only working Georgian dockyard in the world, built in 1725. With time to explore the dockyard and its museum, along with an interesting presentation at Dow’s Hill Interpretation Centre, you’ll learn about the island’s history in a fun and interactive way. What’s more, you’ll get great views of the island’s harbors and picturesque villages on your drive and have an opportunity to take photos at the island’s best viewpoint, Shirley Heights Lookout. We offer two departures of this tour – one for families and another just for adults.

Antigua Hike And Beach – If you’re seeking a little adventure mixed with relaxation, this tour is for you. First, you’ll join a knowledgeable local guide on a 2-hour hike through the rainforest for a magnificent view of the south coast of Antigua. Then, you can cool off in the Caribbean waters and lounge on the white sand during your relaxing beach break. A similar excursion is Hiking Adventure and Beach, and for those who want more adventure, consider the Kayak, Hike and Snorkel Adventure, which combines kayaking and snorkeling with hiking and beach time.

Catamaran And Lobster Lunch Cruise – Another relaxing way to soak up the beauty of Antigua is by sailing around it on the water. This luxury catamaran tour is the perfect way to enjoy the island’s beautiful coastline and the turquoise sea. The boat anchors at two stunning beaches where you can swim in the calm waters and lay out in the sunshine. The life of luxury continues when you’re served lobster and champagne for what’s sure to be a delicious lunch.

Next week, I’ll share my suggestions for Port Adventures in St. Lucia, home of the famous Piton volcanic mountains. When the ship’s in port, venture ashore!

  • We’re looking forward to our Southern Caribbean cruise rapidly approaching.

We have already booked the “Amazing Antigua” excursion.

    See you on October!

  • Good morning Mr. Zanonato,

How exciting this itinerary looks! You and your team work so hard and it’s obvious with the stellar port adventures offered around the world. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursions with Disney Cruise Line sailing the Mediterranean last month.

Travelling with our autistic son through all of Disney Cruise Line’s port adventures was easy and fun. All the tour guides offered our son an immersive and inclusive experience, making him feel important and valued. Seeing his confidence rising on those days made us so happy.

It was also an honour and extreme pleasure meeting you last month (July 5-14) aboard the Disney Magic!

    All the best,
    Jackie
