With the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival returning to Walt Disney World Resort, I wanted to share some exciting news. For the first time, the Disney Theme Park Merchandise team is releasing a specially designed Dooney & Bourke collection inspired by the annual festival of culinary delights.
When designing the new colorful pattern, Disney Design Group artists were inspired by marketing artwork featuring Chef Mickey Mouse. Three of the items will contain a unique leather hangtag that has the event logo (the wristlet will not have this hangtag). I love the subtle designs used on these new bags as sometimes less is more.
The four new items will be released at the Festival Center in Epcot starting September 29.
The Festival Center is located between the Universe of Energy and Mission: SPACE pavilions in Future World. We will have these items on display in that location when the event kicks off on September 19. This Dooney & Bourke collection will not be available on our Disney Parks online store at this time.
I wonder how many Kฤlua pork sliders I can carry in one of these bags (they are my favorite thing from the event!). I hope to see you at Epcot!

This is such a bummer! I’m leaving to go home first thing tomorrow morning and won’t be able to buy one- I wish they were online. Will the Haunted Mansion bags be available before my departure or online?
what is the likelihood of these still being available the last weekend of the food & wine festival?
Hi – we’re living in FL now, will be at the parks on Friday – I passed on previous D&B because they did not come w/the dust bags. Has Disney/D&B decided to include them w/the purchase? I could never figure out why they did not have one to begin with and also the little brass knobs/feet should be on every tote/satchel made. Also a requirement for me to consider purchasing
Never mind with the directions on where there being released, you did a fine job in your article with that I just seen the new bags and was a little excited and in the “OMG! Take My Money!!!” phase and didn’t take in what I read.
I was just wondering though you did say they are not limited edition are they limited release with those Epcot International Food & Wine Festival tags and year? as I can imagine an easy change of tag for future sales after the event?
@Kat – At this point, the bags are only planned for the Festival. They aren’t limited edition which means that they could be carried after the event. Yet it’s difficult to say right now if that will happen.

I’m going to be there next week, and my wallet is probably happy these won’t be available until a couple days after i leave. And so is my tummy because that means more money for all the good food!
What time will the Festival Center be opening on 9/29? And is there a way to pre-order the bags?
@Amanda – The Festival Center opens when Epcot opens for the day (typically 9:00 a.m.). There is not a pre-order option for these bags.

In a kind of related note, do we know when the Haunted Mansion Dooney bags will be released? And will they be available on the Disney Store website?
@Kristen – The Haunted Mansion-themed bags are coming soon. I don’t have a confirmed release date just yet. They will be released on the Disney Parks online store as well.
Are these limited? I’m heading to Food and Wine and the end of October and don’t want to miss them! Any chance of pre-ordering over the phone?
@Sarah – These items are not considered limited edition. We currently do not have an option for ordering them via the telephone. I’m sorry I don’t have better news. I hope you have a great visit in October. Maybe I’ll see you at Epcot ๐

Oh my goodness, D&B sure is making it hard to be a purse collector now a days. Do you think they will still have these on the last weekend of the Wine and Food? We are coming to race in the half marathon. Also I am asking if you’ve heard any word on the Haunted Mansion D&B? And my favorite is the lamb chop with pesto and potato chip crumbles from Australia.
@Susanne – That’s a great question. Availability will depend upon how popular they are with Guests. I unfortunately can’t say right now if they will still be around in November. As for the Haunted Mansion bags, please stay tuned. I hope to share an official release date soon on the Disney Parks Blog. I’m currently waiting for confirmation. Finally, I’m hungry! I have to agree with Jonathan, I want to see more Food & Wine posts.
And my favorite is the marinated rib eye taco with roasted chipotle salsa and grilled scallions.
