Coming May 22 as part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, the new “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular will be a sky-high extravaganza featuring sparkling pyrotechnics, immersive projections, and surprising special effects that transform Disneyland park right before your eyes. “Disneyland Forever” envelops you in an enthralling, breathtaking journey like never before, leveraging the largest installation of projection mapping technology in a Disney park.

Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes for a look at what goes on at night after the park closes, as our Creative Entertainment team is hard at work getting all those amazing projection effects ready for “Disneyland Forever.”

We’re just days away from the grand debut of “Disneyland Forever,” when this incredible new fireworks spectacular will join the “Paint the Night” parade and the all-new “World of Color – Celebrate!” as the sparkling crown jewels of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration.

We’ll have even more sneak peeks for you soon here on Disney Parks Blog, and you can keep the conversation going on social media with the hashtag #Disneyland60.

  • The Main Street projections look great! I’ve been saying for several years now that Disney’s Hollywood Studios needs to use projector mapping instead of spending three months “Clark Griswolding” the facades on Streets of America. A combination of the two might be nice: some normal outlining with a single row of lights, like the shops might do in real life, and projected video for the rest. Imagine real synchronization to music, instead of the seizure-inducing random blinking.

  • The different experiences from different areas of the park is a great idea!

  • Thanks for posting this, Shawn. Between all these new effects and Richard Sherman’s new song, I’m already crying (happy tears) just thinking about it.

  • Can’t wait to see it. Will be flying to Anaheim tonight to be there for the 25 hour party!

    • See you out there! 🙂

  • Wow. Going to want to be in at least 4 places at once to see all of the cool projections ;).

    • Jessica – You’ll definitely want to come back and see the show more than once! It’s a little different depending on whether you see it from Main Street, the Central Plaza, “it’s a small world” or New Orleans Square.

  • this is amazing,
