Fall is in full swing, and we have so many ways to celebrate the season here at the Disneyland Resort, especially at Disney California Adventure park. This is one of my favorite times of year to spend a day at the park!

If you are planning to experience the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration during this wonderful season, here are just some of the activities that make for a perfect autumn day at Disney California Adventure park:

Pacific Wharf Cafe in Disney California Adventure Park

  1. Cozy up with a bread bowl from Pacific Wharf Cafe

Step into the Boudin Bakery Tour to watch Disney bakers make fresh sourdough bread right before your eyes. Then, end the tour with seasonal soup in a warm bread bowl from the Pacific Wharf Cafe. It hits the spot!

  1. Hike through the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Miss summer already? Hike through the majestic redwood forest and earn badges at Wilderness Explorer camp all year long at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. As you enjoy all the beautiful sights and sounds of nature, it will truly feel like an endless summer!

“Cars

  1. Watch the sun set on Cars Land

Just as the sun starts to set, stand in the center of Route 66 and watch the neon lights in Cars Land come to life as the sound of “Sh-Boom” fills the street. A hidden gem at Disney California Adventure park, this magical moment is simply breathtaking

  1. Dance the night away at Diamond Mad T Party

“Fall” down the rabbit hole for the liveliest dance party in Wonderland! The entire family is invited to rock on as the Mad Hatter, Alice and the Mad T Party band perform live covers of popular songs and the White Rabbit DJ spins the hottest dance tracks.

‘World of Color’ at Disney California Adventure Park

  1. Sing along to “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney

Watch as the story of Walt Disney and his dream of Disneyland unfolds in “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney,” a spectacle of colorful dancing fountains, animated sequences and immersive special effects. As part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, the nighttime spectacular performs nightly throughout the fall at Paradise Bay.

What is your favorite fall activity at Disney California Adventure park?

  • Bread bowls! My absolute favorite thing to eat in all of DCA! And, if you’ve never tried them, the salads are even better than the soup. Like Pamela said; the apple walnut salad there is perfection on a warm day, or any day. Yu-um! Can’t wait to go again in December. Even if it’s cold that apple-walnut salad is 1st on my list.

  • We LOVE DCA!! But I too hope that these boiling hot temps will finally ease up before too long. And last time we were there, we ate lunch at Pacific Wharf Cafe then returned for dinner and we ate the same thing both times. We love the Chicken, Apple & Walnut Salad and wish we could get it somewhere outside the park, too! If not, I’ll just wait till February for our anniversary celebration at DCA!

  • I do wish that “Halloween Time” would be offered at both parks thou. Thank you Erin for the update

  • “Fall is in full swing” and “Miss summer yet?”

Erin, are you located in Southern California? It’s in the 90s again and has been roasting for weeks.

    • I’m right here in Anaheim – and you’re right! I write this with the hope and dream that the weather breaks soon. Believe with me!

  • Lots to love about DCA, but I wish it got some more love and $ from the execs for more re-dos and expansions!

  • The bread bowl might hit the spot if the current temperatures were anything even vaguely resembling fall, instead of the bubbling cauldron-esque weather we’ve been having. At 90-100 degrees, I am thinking about pineapple spears, apple freezes and ice cream! 🙂

    • Good point! We can dream, right? 🙂

  • Love these ideas!! I’ve never been on the bakery tour before – will try that next time. We’ve had the soup/bread bowl combo at Pacific Wharf Cafe, though, and it is sooooo good!!
