The magic of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration will come to life in the Rose Parade, broadcast live from Pasadena, Calif., on January 1, 2016. This year’s parade theme is “Find Your Adventure” – and adventure is something you find with every visit to the Disneyland Resort!

Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration Float to Dazzle at 2016 Rose Parade

The Disneyland Resort will celebrate 60 dazzling years with a float honoring some of the most exciting adventures that await guests at the Happiest Place on Earth. At the heart of the float is a sparkling recreation of Sleeping Beauty Castle, complete with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse welcoming everyone to the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration. Flanking the castle are two adventures that are brought to life at the Disneyland Resort. The first comes from the world of “Frozen,” whose music, stories and characters delight kids of all ages at Disney California Adventure park. Representing “Frozen” is Elsa’s ice castle – straight out of Arendelle – accompanied by Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff. Then we make the jump to hyperspace and travel to a galaxy far, far away for a thrilling adventure dedicated to the Star Wars films and exciting new Star Wars experiences at Disneyland park.

We’ll have more to share as this beautiful float takes shape, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. And be sure to watch the Rose Parade – either in person on January 1, 2016, in Pasadena or live on ABC-TV.

  • I am so disappointed in the Float, first it was truly Beautiful. But where was Tinkerbell & Peter Pan. After all they belonged on the float more than some of the other characters that have not been a part of Disney for so many years. And for the 60th Anniversary to exclude them. I found it so very sad. I saw every character but them, please why were they left out?

  • Hi!!!! Can I please be informed if volunteers will be needed to help decorate the float/s? I would love to help! Thank you!

  • It’s like three floats in one! Nice looking Disney!

  • Hi Erin,
I would also love to help out. Is there any info you may be able to give me to be able to help?

  • Will there be an opportunity to work on the float?

    Please post soon.

I’ve worked on other floats over the years -Auto Club, LA Natural History Museum – Dinosaurs.

This would be a great opportunity for all Disney fans.

  • I was able to help decorate a couple of years back for the Cartland float. Do you know which company will be doing this float so that I can help out again? My family has been going to the Rose Parade for over 60 years!!! I can’t wait for this float!!

  • I’d love to help out on the float as well. Do you have any info on how to volunteer? Will it be near the Rose Bowl or with the other floats in Pasadena or in Duarte or Azusa? The design looks A-MAZing!

  • Hi Erin this look so awesome. i can’t wait to see it on tv . is this the 2ed time they doing this ? i remember they had the tower of terror and the whole park of DCA back in 2005 with the 50th anniversary and then after the rose bowl parade the float when to the park to have people looking at the float . will they be doing that again putting the float in the park so people can look at it up close ?

  • Hello!! I am an educator at a local junior high in Anaheim working with low-income youth. One of my priorities is to engage them in various activities to give back to their community and surrounding ones. I am currently in search of an opportunity to decorate a float for the tournament of roses parade, and what better float than to decorate the one representating our own city!! Are you accepting volunteers to decorate the Disney float? Thank you in advanced for your time!

  • Will there be an opportunity for Disney Cast Members to work on the float?

  • It looks awesome!
