For many families, creating gingerbread houses is a favorite tradition during the holiday season. The Disney Cruise Line family is no different — but being Disney, a standard-size gingerbread house simply won’t do.
Each year, the pastry and bakery team on each of our ships meticulously build life-size gingerbread houses that are beautifully displayed in the atrium lobby. Added to the fun of gumdrops and icing is a spoonful of competition, as each ship strives to win the coveted award for “Best Gingerbread House.” This year, during the second annual competition, the Disney Dream won the award based on its creativity, theming and finishing touches.
Congratulations to the Disney Dream team, and great job to all of our crew who helped design winter wonderland gingerbread houses. To see the winners of last year’s inaugural competition, check out my past post.

It’s the one that was there December 14-18 when I was on the Dream.
This is not the gingerbread house that was on the Dream 2014 or 2015, unless they added to it after Dec. 4th. Same shape but different decorations.
