This year, the holiday season sparkles even brighter during the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration. It’s one of the best times to not only visit our parks, but also stay at one of our three hotels. Here are six details I love about the holidays at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort:
Christmas Tree at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel: Perfectly appropriate for Southern California, the Christmas tree in Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel lobby is inspired by the sea. Adorned with blue, green and silver ornaments, the tree also features shells, starfish and even a few surfboards!
Carolers: Nothing puts you in the holiday spirit like Christmas carols! Guests will be delighted to hear the joyful sounds of carolers at each resort hotel every evening until December 25.
Holiday Shopping: If you still have a few names on your holiday shopping list, look no further than our hotel shops. The Fantasia Shop at the Disneyland Hotel and Acorns Gifts & Goods at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa have a wonderful selection of Disneyland Resort souvenirs and holiday-themed merchandise!
Letters to Santa: For those staying at our hotels, families are invited to join us at Pinocchio’s Workshop to write letters to Santa. Located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, our cast members have all the supplies needed to write—they’ll even mail your letters to the North Pole! Stop by from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day through December 24.
Lobby at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa: The hotel’s Craftsman-inspired decor extends to the holiday decorations, from the garland infused with natural materials to the soaring Christmas tree lit with “arts and crafts” motif lanterns. And if the scent of freshly-baked gingerbread tickles your nose from the “Grand” New Gingerbread House, you can order your own gingerbread cookie and hot chocolate from the refreshment stand located in the southeast corner of the lobby.
Steps Away from the Parks: With easy, convenient access to both parks, guests staying at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort can enjoy all of the dazzling holiday offerings, including “A Christmas Fantasy” parade at Disneyland park and “World of Color – Winter Dreams” at Disney California Adventure park.

We have just spent the last 5 days of our Disneyland Holiday at Grand Californian Hotel. Wow, loved it so much. It’s so beautiful, the decor, the ambiance, the accessibility to the parks and most of all the people. Can’t wait for our next holiday there. Just returned back to New Zealand and now looking at booking our next stay. Wish we were still at Grand Californian Hotel for Christmas.
Just got back from a week’s stay at Paradise Pier. Loved the hotel and three was amazing. Can’t wait until our next visit.
My favorite is the Grand Californian Hotel. It’s our family tradition to go there over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and take a family pic by the Christmas tree and kick off the Christmas holiday and celebrate the spirit of the season!
