Gourmet Treats Kick Off the New Year at the Disneyland Resort

Ring in the New Year with new gourmet treats from our Candy Kitchens! If you’re headed to the Disneyland Resort this January, here are a few quick tips on some of the special, hand-crafted items you’ll find. January’s gourmet apple and marshmallow wand are dipped in caramel and milk chocolate, rolled in chocolate cookie pieces and then drizzled with dark chocolate and peanut butter. How can you top that? Chopped roasted peanuts, of course!

While the crispy follows suit to the listed ingredients above, minus the caramel, it’s the bark that we’re finding has everyone’s taste-buds piqued. Being introduced for the first time is layered bark.

What does that mean exactly? Folded between thick milk chocolate is a layer of creamy peanut butter. While that alone makes me happy, our candy makers added a few finishing touches that I think you’ll enjoy. Topping the layered bark is dark chocolate, peanut butter, chocolate cookie pieces and chopped roasted peanuts! Yes, this is in fact, where I drop the mic and walk away. I’m pretty sure the description says it all.

Which one will you treat yourself to?

  • I agree a Vegan cart would be wonderful. We were just there in early December and my husband and I are vegan. would be nice to indulge but not have to eat dole whips all day I mean they are good but you want variety and while I like my fruit I eat it all the time so it is not really a treat. Please make a vegan cart or diner. Disney would do amazing

  • The look delicious, but when will Disney start coring and slicing the apples? We love to share these tasty treats and that makes them so much easier to eat!

  • We’ll be there next week! Can’t wait to try these. Yum!

  • These look really good, but we miss the English Toffee. Any chance it will be coming back?

  • Reminds me of the Peanut Butter Sandwich treat – a personal long-time favorite. I’ll have to check this one out!

  • These look as good as all the other gourmet treats the park offers. It’s just a shame there are never any vegan options.

My whole family and most of my extended family are vegan and we would love if we were able to partake of some the great treats the resort is known for.
