Adventures by Disney Announces New American Vacations for 2016

Heather Killingbeck

Adventures by Disney wants to encourage your family to get out there and explore America in 2016. That’s why today we’re introducing three new United States vacations that showcase the diverse destinations of Central Florida, Montana, and Washington, D.C. & Philadelphia.

Each of these weeklong trips is filled with activities unique to the destinations visited. On the Central Florida vacation you can enjoy backstage access and VIP experiences at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, and experience the best of the Florida outdoors. From going behind-the-scenes at the all-new Rivers of Light nighttime spectacular at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and taking part in one-of-a-kind experiences with Disney Imagineers to exploring Central Florida’s unique natural wonders on land – by zipline, swamp buggy and on horseback – and on water in kayaks and aboard an airboat, there is truly something for everyone on this trip.

'Glamping' in Montana

On the Montana trip you can take part in my personal favorite experience, glamorous camping! Also known as “glamping,” this experience allows you to get in touch with nature while exploring Yellowstone National Park during the centennial of the National Parks Service. Plus, you’ll also get hands-on at an authentic Dude ranch in Big Sky, complete with fun family activities like horseback riding, whitewater rafting, fly-fishing and a private riverside cookout.

The White House in Washington, D.C.

In Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, master storytellers and encounters with characters from the past help make history come alive for your family in a fun, interactive way. Immersive adventures at some of America’s most iconic landmarks are paired with exciting yet educational activities, such as a fun-filled scavenger hunt through a 19th century mansion, hands-on experiences at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, a cruise down the Potomac River and more.

From exploring majestic landscapes to discovering American history and savoring a healthy dose of Disney magic, these new Adventures by Disney vacations offer families unforgettable ways to bond and explore America.

  • Is it possible to do just the WDW part of the tour? I have done just about all the tours offered and I am not an “outdoor” activities type individual. Those activities hold no appeal for me. Is it possible that, in time, the backstage portions will be offered as part of Disney tour experiences?
