A few weeks ago, I gave you a first look at a new program of key travel essentials called Disney Travel-Accessories-Gear or Disney TAG. Today, I have some additional items to share as we prepare for their arrival in March 2016.
Disney TAG will feature both retro modern and colorful Disney character artwork. In addition to luggage tags and other souvenirs shown in the recent Disney Parks Blog Unboxed video, guests will find a product mix that is an excellent intersection of practicality and clever design.
Accessory items will include hanging toiletry bags, reusable totes, Passport wallets and jewelry organizers. I like the use of the “Mickey Mouse World” logo on several of the items as it reminds me of Walt Disney World Resort from the 1970s.
Guests will also find decorative neck pillows, including one inspired by the wallpaper from the Haunted Mansion attraction; tote bags with brightly colored silhouettes of Disney characters and icons; or home decorative items like a collapsible cup and a coffee mug.
My favorite designs, however, all have a retro travel vibe. The full-sized, printed canvas suitcase shown above appears to have visited Disney Destinations around the world.
Finally, I’m excited to share that these items will be released starting March 11 at the new Disney TAG boutique located in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs Marketplace. This boutique will be found in the space currently occupied by Zoey & Pickles, and will serve as a one-stop destination for Disney-inspired travel products.
Initially, Disney TAG items will only be found at the Marketplace Co-Op location. In the future, guests might find them at additional destinations such as Disneyland Resort or the Disney Parks online store.
