To help you get ready for the holidays, we’ve developed a series of recipes featuring favorite holiday sweets from Disney Parks from coast to coast. To kick off the season, I’m sharing the coveted Gingerbread Cookie recipe from the Bakery at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

The Grand has long been a favorite place to visit during the holiday season. The gingerbread house in the lobby of the resort has been a Walt Disney World holiday mainstay for the past 18 years, with the aroma of freshly baked gingerbread calling to visitors. Bring home a taste of a holiday tradition by making this recipe for your loved ones.

  • I’m going to make these tonight and try them, but for those looking for more what the cookies in the parks or the shingles you buy at the displays tastes like, do a quick google for WDW or DL gingerbread recipe and you’ll find another common one all over that I can vouch tastes pretty darn close! I’ve never made a gingerbread recipe without at least some molasses in it, so I’m pretty curious for these. I saw someone post a finished image and they looked more like spiced sugar cookies.

  • I was wondering if anyone would have the recipe for the peppermint bark cookies that was passed out at Mickey’s Christmas party? Please …….

  • @Karen: I agree about the ingredient order suggestion, but then the ingredients wouldn’t have formed the outline of a Christmas Tree with a star on top! 🙂

  • Thank you! I would like to know if these are like the mouse gingerbread cookies in the Germany pavilion at WDW? Those are my all time favorites!

  • Thanks for the recipe. Are these cookies crunchy or soft? I second question re: DL resort version. A note to editors: it helps to list ingredients in order of use! Example: eggs listed last but they are the third item used. 🙂

  • Do you know if this is the same recipe they use for the gingerbread cookies at the Grand Californian at the Disneyland Resort in California?

  • Oh wow! Thank you!!!
