This week the Disney Parks Blog celebrated its 8th anniversary – and to celebrate with all of you, we have a brand-new downloadable wallpaper.

This design, created by Simone Miranda’s team, showcases one of our favorite characters the Florida Orange Bird.

In case you aren’t familiar with this character, Orange Bird was created specifically for Magic Kingdom Park in the 1970s. Our cheerful feathered friend originally greeted families at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland, where guests could also enjoy citrus drinks and buy Orange Bird merchandise. At one time, the character even had his own record, which was released in 1971 to feature “The Orange Bird Song” – a tune penned by the Sherman Brothers (composers of the songs in “Mary Poppins” and “The Jungle Book”).

Now an unofficial symbol of Walt Disney World history, our team has enjoyed bringing our readers fun Orange Bird content for years.

Be sure to check the terms of use before you download.
