At Disney California Adventure park, Festival of Holidays will again bring the spirit of the season to life through delicious food and special entertainment, including the return of Disney ¡Viva Navidad! For its second year, the celebration will feature a new take on the popular Festive Foods Marketplace, presenting a side-by-side mix of holiday comfort dishes that bridge many diverse cultures and family traditions. And at night, “World of Color – Season of Light” will illuminate Paradise Bay with a sparkling winter fantasy combining classic holiday songs with memorable moments from treasured Disney animated films.

At Disneyland park, seasonal fan favorites return, including Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks, “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday (which begins September 15).

We’ll have more details to share about these exciting experiences as we get closer to the start of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort on November 10, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog!

  • Can someone please tell me what is the name of the song that they sing as they light up the castle on December 7th 2017 and who is it sung by?! Thank you in advance 🙂

  • Great news Will be there Dec 13-18th Looking forward to my first time at Disneyland during the holidays. I have read elsewhere that Jingle Cruise will NOT be back at Disneyland this year.

  • Please tell me Jingle Cruise is coming back?

  • So does that mean Jingle Cruise will open at the same time?

  • Please, please, please bring back the garland that stretches across Main street!

  • Don’t want to sound like the Grinch (wrong park) but I hop the Christmas Fantasy parade has gotten an update this year.

  • We will be there 11/8-11/10 & can’t wait! Hopefully we’ll get to experience some of the Christmas magic since our last day in the park is 11/10! Anything we should specifically plan to NOT MISS for our last day?

  • Super happy that this crosses over the Avengers Superheroes Half Marathon Weekend (Nov 9-12). I had to miss last year and now will get to see it all again from all sides.

  • Viva Navidad is my favorite holiday show at DCA. To see the same performers returning year after year is like seeing old friends again.

  • Please bring back the Buena Vista Street Bell Ringers and the Buena Vista Street Tree lighting with the singing.
The addition of all the multicultural performers was interesting but not at the expense of Christmas on Buena Vista Street.
We also always enjoy the Jingle Cruise and the Gingerbread House in the GC lobby. I hope you have Gingerbread pins this year too!
So many great things that I love about Christmas at Disneyland!

  • Hopefully the full Christmas garlands will be stretched across Main Street as they were before Paint the Night parade was introduced. They are truly missed and they add so much to the Christmas decor.

  • Oh Erin this is wonderful news! I loved the festival last year. I cannot wait to see the future posts about the food and merchandise. I love visiting the parks at the Holiday time!! Thank you for the sneak peek.

  • I’m very glad to see Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle return. I think that despite being just a short little show, the castle lighting ceremony was the thing I missed most last year.

  • No mention of The Candlelight Processional. I sure hope it’s included in the festivities. And expanded for more than 2 nights this year.

  • Hi Erin! Do you know if there will be any Season of Light merch this year?

  • Wheeeeeee!!!! I am so over this summer’s punishing heat and am ready to jump into all of the excitement and fun of Halloween Time and the Holidays — my 2 favorite seasons to be at Disneyland Resort!! The last 3-1/2 months of the year are one big festive celebration!

Should we assume that Jingle Cruise is returning as well? That’s a pretty significant overlay.

  • Any chance you could still announce Paint the Night returning on select nights (like last year)? Very glad to see the Festival of Holidays and Viva Navidad returning. Also will we see the Elena of Avalor show they had last year?
