Is everyone and everything safe and sound on or around Castaway Cay? We are very worried.
I have to admit to being in awe of the Disney Cast Members on a fairly regular basis [their jobs are not easy], but even more so during events like Irma. So many Cast Members are at work during the storm working to keep guests safe, fed and entertained as best can be done under the circumstances instead of being at home with their families. Then there are the crews that assess the damage, clean up, repair, check rides, etc to get the park ready for opening so fast. Please let these Cast Members know that they are greatly appreciated.

To all guests still at WDW during Hurricane Irma, I wish you all a safe stay throughout the duration. To all Cast Members working, you guys deserve a big round of applause for stepping up and staying with the guests to make it as Magical as possible for them while everyone else is either evacuating and/or preparing for the hurricane.
May all of your guests and cast members weather this storm with the strength that has been shown at Walt Disney World in past hurricanes. As a former Disneyland cast member, please know that my heart is with you all. After all…once you’ve worked for Disney, everyone at Disney (including both cast members and guests) is forever your extended family.
