Confession: I’ve always loved getting my photo taken – the more props and fun backgrounds, the better! It will come as no surprise to my loved ones that the holidays are my absolute favorite time of year for picture-taking. And this year is sure to be the best yet! With a 6-month old baby, Lincoln, who’s about to celebrate his first Christmas, I knew I wanted to mark the moment in grand fashion. Cue Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs Marketplace. With a team of talented photographers at the ready and plenty of backgrounds (real and virtual) to choose from, I convinced Lincoln’s dad and sister to join me for a family photo shoot, done the Disney way.
We arrived earlier in the morning – the location opens daily at 9:30 a.m. – and were the first ones there, ready to go in our holiday best. (Speaking of “best” … how about that vest? I still can’t believe I got my other half to wear it!) We let the PhotoPass cast members know that we were interested in holiday photos, just in case our attire didn’t give us away. Joselyn, one of the PhotoPass Coordinators, and Danielle, one of the photographers, guided us through the entire shoot. The duo couldn’t have been better at their jobs, helping us strike just the right poses and even getting our little guy to look right at the camera for nearly every shot. We loved our moment in the spotlight and have all agreed that we’d like to do this every holiday season.

I truly believe this service is one of the best kept secrets at Walt Disney World Resort and I’m so glad we visited for what is sure-to-become an annual tradition!

Is there an equivalent of this at Disneyland?
I enjoyed your post. We are visiting Disney Springs Nov 23, but I had not thought about taking advantage of the PhotoPass Studio until reading your notes. Approximately how long did your photo shoot take? Is there an area for changing so your Holiday Best can keep looking great while you explore the area? My daughter has a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment, so this would be a nice addition for my family.
Great to hear this is available year-round. Been going to Disney every year for the past nine years and I’m continually amazed of new discoveries!
Does this my annual pass that includes unlimited photo pass photos include this service as well?
Hi Sergio. I checked in with my PhotoPass partners and they shared that if you have a qualifying Annual Pass with unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads at Walt Disney World Resort, you can download your photos taken at the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs as many times as you’d like until they expire. (So that’s a long way to say yes!)

Erin, your timing is perfect! The PhotoPass Studio is offered year-round, so make plans to visit during your December trip.
Does this go beyond December 16? The calendar on the link doesn’t go beyond December 16? Disappointed if it stops mid-December.
