The holidays begin here! Beginning November 10, some of your returning favorites will feature a bit more magic during Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

At Disney California Adventure park, Festival of Holidays will bring a new take on delicious holiday comfort food. All-new cultural favorites are coming to the Festive Foods Marketplaces, including Beef Corn Tamale a la Plancha with Spicy Rojo Sauce, Braised Lamb Cheeks with Mediterranean Cauliflower, Sweet Potato Pie and Fruit and Nut Rugelach.

In Cars Land, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will transform into Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl, and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will become Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, both featuring new holiday tunes for the season.

All of this is, of course, is in addition to the return of Disney ¡Viva Navidad! and “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure park. At Disneyland park, Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks, “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday will delight guests throughout the season.

What are you looking forward to experiencing first during Holidays at the Disneyland Resort? Tell us in the comments!

  • Has the narrator for the candlelight ceremony been announced yet?

  • Jingle Cruise is my husband’s favorite Christmas themed ride at Disneyland. Sad it’s not here this year, but glad we got to ride it at Magic Kingdom last week while we were there. Time to alternate. They don’t have a Nightmare Before Christmas themed Haunted Mansion nor Ghost Galaxy, so in a way it’s a fair trade.

  • @ Nicole – Early next week

  • Does anyone know when the Disney Christmas Day Parade will be filmed at Disneyland this year? Next week or the week after Thanksgiving?

  • I will miss the Jingle Cruise this year. It was one of my favorite Holiday overlays. So creative, campy, clever and funny. And the cast member boat captains had hilarious spiels. Are you sure it can’t be brought back? Hope to see it in 2018. Please!

  • The Jingle Cruise was the best part of the holidays!!!..I’m sooooo sad it’s not coming back. Please please bring it back!!

  • The candy canes don’t go on sell until the day after Thanksgiving. We missed them last year by one day.

  • I absolutely LOVE ¡Viva Navidad! and can’t wait to see it again this year. I’m also excited for the new food offerings for the Festival of Holidays, but I wish that the prices were a bit lower or the portions a little bigger. With my budget, I have to decide between eating a full meal or having two or three of these sample sized holiday offerings.

  • My little one and I will be at the park on Friday, Nov 10th, to kick off the season! After reviewing the food at the Festival, I know I will have a happy tummy 🙂 Cannot wait to see Small World all decorated up!

  • @ Jeremy – No, the parks will *definitely* not be at max operating hours for the entire Nov 10-Jan 7 period. The disneyland calendar always shows the next six weeks, so you can see the schedule thru 12/18 already.

  • PLEASE…bring the Jingle Cruise back. Your survey obviously missed a lot of holiday adventurers’ enthusiasm.

  • Bummer that there will be no piranhauka this year :0(

  • Hi Erin, will any of the items at the Festival of Holidays be vegan or can be made vegan?

  • I agree with all the other people commenting on the loss of Jingle Cruise. It was a fun, funny, and creative addition to the holidays at DLR. We will miss it!

  • Oh, no! No Jingle Cruise? 🙁

  • The jingle cruise was my favorite part of the Holidays!!! Please bring it back!!!

  • Will DL be open until midnight every night and DCA Open till 11pm every night. Nov 10th – Jan 7th for the Christmas Schedule?

We are coming back from B.C. (And we were just there in Aug) we just can’t stay away. But I can’t for whatever reason find the times the parks are open during the holidays

  • Someone said that Fantasmic and World of color don’t happen during the week on non peak seasons. When exactly is there a non peak season any more? Lol

  • I am very disappointed the Jingle Cruise won’t be part of the Holiday festivities this year. I am making my first holiday visit to Disneyland and was so hoping to ride the Jingle Cruise.

  • Sad about Jingle Cruise but I’m excited about the Cars Land holiday ride versions. I’m also hoping for some vegan-friendly food.

  • I am beyond disappointed that Jingle Cruise won’t be returning this year. It’s been by far my favorite holiday offering in recent years.

As for the Festival of Holidays, will any of the booths be offering vegan items this year?

  • Hi Erin! Thanks for the info. I noticed the Elena of Avalor show was also on the schedule. Since it wasn’t mentioned in the article I wanted to ask if that was in fact returning?

    • Yes! Elena will be part of the festivities this year.

  • Will the Garland above Main Street and the Buena Vista Street community Bellringers be returning this year! I missed both of them last year!

  • No AP days this season??

  • Dear Erin Will the Caballeros do meet and greets again this year?

  • We will sure miss the Jingle Cruise! So simple, yet so fun.

  • Sad to see that the Jingle Cruise is not coming back this year. It’s always a favorite. Looking forward to experiencing the other festivities in December though.

  • Hi Erin – Thanks for all the info but any word on CandyCane dates and locations as well as any info on the release of the Christmas Dooney & Bourke bag?? Hoping to go next weekend and would love to know what is available and where if possible… thank you so much 🙂

  • No Jingle Cruise this year?
