As we shared yesterday, a Pandora Conservation Initiative (PCI) pilot recently demonstrated the Pandora Utility Suit that will soon be used to study the wildlife, collect plant samples, and survive Pandora’s terrain.

This amazing Utility Suit was created in partnership between Lightstorm Entertainment, Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Michael Curry Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Check out the video above as Tony Giordano, Robert King and Laura Offerdahl from Disney Parks Live Entertainment take you behind the scenes as this amazing suit comes to life.

You can encounter the Utility Suit pilot in Pandora – The World of Avatar starting April 22. Be sure to check the Times Guide or the My Disney Experience App the day of your visit for the latest information.

  • Watching from North Salt Lake, Utah

  • Are there any plans to add any Na’vi replicas in the forest areas or on the floating rocks for scale, or to make the experience even more immersive?

  • Very cool! Nice new addition to Pandora in time for the 20th anniversary.

  • Cool but kinda scary looking too!

    • The tech is amazing – when you meet the pilot, you’ll hear stories all about Pandora.

  • How long will this event be available?

    • This is ongoing, beginning April 22 at the park.

  • Cool
Wondering though how that thing moves it’s legs and prevents falling

  • Looks wonderful. I love the “streetmosphere” in all the parks. Are the other Pandora explorers and researchers (interactive street characters) who were around for the opening weeks still in Pandora as well?

  • Looks awesome!

    • Thanks!
