Last summer we shared news of the new Minnie Van transportation service available at Walt Disney World Resort. Today, we’re excited to share that the service is now available for everyone at Walt Disney World Resort, through the Lyft app.

The service offers a comfy and convenient way for guests to travel to and from our theme parks, to dining reservations at our resort hotels, family gatherings, shopping sprees at Disney Springs and much more in a jiffy.

The private vans are roomy, comfortable and usually only minutes away. Each driver is a friendly Disney Cast Member trained to take you where you need to be—safely and with a smile.

How does it work? Just download the Lyft app on your mobile device, open it from anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort and select the Minnie Van service option. Then, follow the steps below:

  • Confirm your current pickup location.
  • Enter your Walt Disney World Resort destination and tap “Request.”
  • The app will display a map tracking the vehicle en route and give you an identifying vehicle number to help you spot your car.

With Lyft, you can request your ride from your smartphone and pay right through the app. The new Minnie Van service is an easy and friendly way to whisk your family off to the magic!

The service is available between 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. (Hours subject to change.)

  • Can the Minnie Van take guests from Port Orleans Riverside to Grand Floridian?

  • This is great news!!! So exciting as I always wonder what they were for. Now, question is, can you use to take you to/from Airport?

  • This sounds great. Can the Vans fit 4 adults, 2 kids, and a folded up double stroller?

  • I am planning a family get together for June ’19 and am extremely happy and excited about this new service. I’d be utilizing an ECV (due to medical issues) and am glad to see this new service also makes accommodations for guests in my situation. Thanks.

  • They can accommodate I think 3 guests and a scooter in one car, but they’ll send an extra car for the rest of your party for no additional fee. You have to call bell services to have them arrange it or give you the number, you can’t do it through the app, or at least you couldn’t in December when I was there in a scooter with 6 people.

  • Yes, Minnie Van goes to Shade of Green.
Yes, Minnie Van accommodates scooters and EVC. You just have to request accordingly…it is either the Ford Transit 150 or Ford Transit 350.
Yes, you can still drive your own car from resort to resort if you would like.

  • what about car seats for little ones? If so which form front, rear facing, booster because there is no way ill put my 1 year old front facing he needs to be rear faving and there is no way ill put my 4 year old in a booster she needs a front facing car seat

  • Where are the normal pick up and drop off locations for the parks, where the buses drop off? Or do you have to travel to another area first?

  • Can scooters be accomadated

  • Has the Minnie Vans started a Shades of Green run yet?

  • They now go anywhere on WDW property, including Shades of Green. The initial limited destinations were during the testing phase.

  • Will we still be able to drive from one hotel to another w/ our own car (visiting & restaurants etc)?

  • They do not go to Shades of Green and some non-Disney resorts (I seem to recall it was the Swan and Dolphin). Keep in mind that this info is 6 months old,and may have been revised.

  • The Vans can accommodate a double stroller and 4 people easily. They have car seats to use. If you have an ECV, the van driver can call a bigger vehicle. Everything is a flat price of $25. Having the ear of a cast member for 10-15 minutes for the drive is priceless. I’ve learned so much about Disney from the drivers, that we take the Minnie Vans even when we don’t have to. It is a fantastic experience.

  • I was wondering what fuel you use for the vans? Sound like a great idea but I worry about the environmental impact

  • They do have accessible vehicles. I spoke to a Cast Member last time I went to Disney Springs. They also have car seats for kids, and drivers go through a saftey course so they know how to properly install them.

  • I also need to hnow if you can accommadate a scooter.

  • Does this include Shades of Green?

  • Are they available from Shades of Green?

  • I will be staying at Pop Century, and I will have a scooter. Can the mini van transport the scooter and 5 people to the Polynesian hotel.
