Disney After Hours events have been such a huge hit among Disney fans and we wanted to share this good news with you first: not only are more event nights set for Magic Kingdom Park, but for the first time, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will join in on the fun!
In case you aren’t familiar with Disney After Hours events, these evening events are your opportunity to experience the magic of a Disney theme park for three hours after regular park hours, which means little-to-no wait for attractions, experiences and character greetings! You can even enter the park early – at 7 p.m. on your event night – before Disney After Hours begins. Ice cream, popcorn and select beverages are also included in your Disney After Hours admission, which is a separately priced ticket from daytime park admission.
Here’s what to expect at each park:
Magic Kingdom Park
Enjoy classic favorite attractions from Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Space Mountain as well as newer favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, plus many more. Event nights will run on: Nov. 26; and Dec. 3, 10, 2018; and Jan. 7, 17, 24 and 28, 2019; Feb. 7, 14, and 28, 2019; and March 7, 2019.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Imagine having little-to-no wait for newly opened Toy Story Land attractions, including Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and other attractions will also be available. Select quick-service food & beverage locations will also stay open for purchases throughout the night. Event nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be: Dec. 8, 15 and 22, 2018; and Jan. 5, 12 and 19, 2019; Feb. 2, 9 and 16, 2019; March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2019; and April 6 and 13, 2019.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Enjoy the best Disney’s Animal Kingdom has to offer at night, including heart-tugging Tree of Life Awakenings, the adventures within Pandora – The World of Avatar and more. Select quick-service food & beverage locations will remain open throughout the night for purchases. Dates at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are: Dec. 4, 12 and 18, 2018; and Jan. 8, 16, 22 and 31, 2019; and Feb. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 26, 2019; and March 5, 20 and 27, 2019; and April 3, 2019.
Tickets are now available for Disney After Hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at DisneyWorld.com/AnimalKingdomAfterHours.
All Disney After Hours event tickets cost $125 + tax for advance purchase and $129 + tax for day-of purchases. Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders do receive a discounted price $95 + tax.

What about July events?
Is it really that less crowded than extra magic hours? I wonder if it’s worth it. No dates for late May / June?
I would love to treat my daughter to the Disney After Hours Event at Magic Kingdom in May for her surprise birthday trip. Please add May dates!!!!!
This sounds great but yes years ago we got Extra magic hours for guest staying in the Park. It was fabulous and free. Now in order to get that you would have to spend $125. I know you are trying to make things better but a trip to Disney is already pricey. Taking away the extras take away from the fun for most families.
When will dates for the summer months be released?
Please offer some May dates! I took my daughter to an event in 2016 in MK and it was the best time ever. Would love to book all three of these if they are offered during our May trip. As long as Disney keeps the numbers small it is a wonderful event!
Why can’t these be easily purchased online like the Magic Kingdom ones? I don’t always feel like we should have to call for everything.
It is VERY clear in the article that all events include ” Ice cream, popcorn and select beverages are also included in your Disney After Hours admission”. The top portion applies to all parks … then after the photos it does park specific info ………. which right now isn’t enough info for Studios or Animal Kingdom. With much fewer attractions … what extras will you be providing for that same price … will there be special or rare characters? Will there be extra showings of any shows? What will entice me to buy at ticket? PS Quick Serve open for me to buy is not a plus, and I wouldn’t waste the time.

My wife and I have done this and loved it. I think we did 7 dwarfs 3 times in a row. We would come down from Canada just for this experience again. But DO NOT INCREASE THE NUMBERS!!!
Is this an event that requires a previously purchased theme park passes? We are going on a non-park weekend but would enjoy this event. Purchasing this ticket for Studios might be fun.
Will Premier Passholders be eligible for the discounted price of $95 plus tax? or would it still be $125 plus tax for advance and $129 plus tax for day of purchase?
Will the events at AK and HS also include snack and beverages like the MK After Hours event? Based on the article, it sounds like food much be purchased.
We love the After Hours. We’ve done it three times now at Magic Kingdom since it started in 2016. We rode nine attractions at lease once, and rode the Mine Train and Big Thunder four times each. I loved walking thru the park without all the crowds and we took some awesome pictures. Planning on doing it again in 2019. And yes, we are passholders.
Remember when Disney used to do these for pass holders for free at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort? Then they started to charge for events that use to be free. Why?
Only 3 hours for $100+ – Seems quite expensive for this type of event. Have not heard great reviews from fellow Passholder friends.
Ah, I remember when there were free EMH almost every morning and every night at one park or another for those staying onsite. Sure would be nice to see that return and expand.
I think it is actually spelled- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. 🙂 Either way very cool that Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be participating in Disney After Hours Events.
