With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening next month at the Disneyland Resort, there is much to prepare for your arrival. Over the next several weeks, Disney Ambassador Justin Rapp will share some helpful hints to make the most of your visit in our “Know Before You Go” series on the Disney Parks Blog.

Our first planning tip surrounds the no-cost reservations needed to visit from May 31 to June 23, 2019 (in addition to valid theme park admission). For guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, you will receive a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservation as a part of your room reservation. Visit Disneyland.com or call (714) 520-5050 to make your hotel reservation.

Now, watch for more…and know before you go!

Check back soon to the Disney Parks Blog for details on when the no-cost reservations will become available.

  • Hi .. it i a few hours before you open June 24th for purchase of public tickets to Galaxy’s Edge: Anaheim. I am buying from Western Australia. I have the Disney App on my iPhone set to receive notifications .. so .. what do I do at the hour (8am ???) to buy my ticket ?? which site or do i buy via the iPhone app??

  • If I received a reservation for my brother, his girlfriend, my boyfriend, and myself but my brother and his girlfriend are blocked that day can they still enter the park since we have a reservation for galaxy edge ?

  • Hi Michael,

I’m visiting Orlando from 16th – 23rd Sept and I plan on visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s to experience Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge which I’m really looking forward to.

Will there be a way to make a no cost reservation without staying in a Disney resort hotel? If so what date and time will this service be available?

I’m very anxious that my trip to Orlando from Ireland will be a waste if I can get in to galaxy’s edge after travelling so far!

    Thank you in advance,

    Stephen

  • So, only if you stay at Disneyland Resort Hotel, you will receive a reservation into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge? I’ve planned a trip to the US from Australia and have already booked my accommodation. I will be visiting Disneyland on the 20th June and heading back home on the 21st June, would love to extend my holiday but just not possible. Will non visitors to the resort get an opportunity to reserve a ticket for Galaxy’s Edge? My son has been a mad Star Wars fan for the last 18 years and still is. We were excited to here that it will be open while we’re there and it would be disappointing to not get the opportunity to see it.

  • So they keep saying that people who aren’t booked at one of the hotels will also be able to make reservations. But I’ve yet to see any info on how to do that. Has anyone else?

  • If we purchase Annual passes now, but will not validate them until we come in early June, can we get the Galaxy’s Edge reservations without starting the clock on the passes at that time?

  • Danny, Star Wars Land is called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. They are the same thing.

  • If we bought a Today hopper pass fast pass Disney Max pass package deal for my 2 kids and I and we are staying at a good neighbor The Anaheim hotel can we still get reservations To Star Wars galaxys edge? If so where and when can I sign up for that?

  • This is going to be extremely difficult.
My AP upon renewal this March has a completely new set of Blackout dates than I have had the last 5 years. Interestingly enough the blackout dates start…wait for it….
May 31st and all of June. Which means I need to purchase 2 tickets right now to be ready to make a reservation because you have to have them in order to do so, at a cost of $300.
All these copy n paste updates ever talk about is those registered in Hotels automatically have a registration.

This isnt hard to figure out.

  • If only staying 1 night at a Disneyland resort. What day is the earliest to check in 30th or 31st. I called this morning and was told May 31st since Galaxy’s Edge opens that day. I called back to make a hotel reservation and was told 30th since other people have been doing that. The CM went to verify with someone and said check in 30th and check out 31st will get a Galaxy’s Edge reservation.

  • Hello,

I see this video mentioning how to get into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

How do we find out information to get into Star Wars Land? Thank you.

  • Samantha, that’s actually not true. They did in fact implement the reservation system the day they announced the opening date.

  • SO excited about the opening of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. I will be there!! This was an excellent video, makes me want to get there ever faster!! Hotel Booked, Travel Planned, Light Speed to Disneyland!!

  • Here’s hoping they give AP holders first shot at the reservations since all of the hotels are booked.

  • All three resort hotels are booked until June 23rd. Why would they continue to suggest that a hotel reservation at the big three hotels will give you a Galaxy’s Edge reservation when there isn’t any more rooms available?

    • Disneyland Resort hotel rooms are still available to book and staying in one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels is the only way to ensure you have a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Visit Disneyland.com or call (714) 520-5050.

  • Cute video! I like how animated this guy is.

  • I booked my flight, rental car, and off-site lodging when DLR first announced the opening of Galaxy’s Edge, before they implemented this reserve ticketing. Hotel reservations for when I’m traveling (6/1 – 6/2) were already all booked . 🙁

PLEASE give AP holders priority admission to Galaxy’s Edge!
