Exciting Additions and Enhancements Coming to ‘Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade’ at Magic Kingdom Park

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is already a must-do experience every fall at Magic Kingdom Park, and it’s even more so this year with the debut of the incredible new “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular,” a new interactive treat trail at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and attractions updated with new Halloween twists. Now, we’re excited to announce even more to look forward to with some great additions to “Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade!”

Presented twice nightly during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (Pro tip: catch the second run of the night for the best viewing options), the parade brings forth a cavalcade of fiendishly fun floats as each land of the Magic Kingdom comes together to celebrate Halloween.

The parade opens with a flurry of favorite Disney friends, including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in all-new Halloween costumes, as they trick-or-treat down Main Street, U.S.A. Representing Liberty Square, the Haunted Mansion unit features Hitchhiking Ghosts and a new addition, the spectral Bride, who glides among the waltzing spirits.

A new Tomorrowland unit brings The Incredibles and designer extraordinaire Edna Mode to “Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade,” followed by Buzz Lightyear and Alien explorers discovering crystalline treasures on the surface of a planetary playset float.

Of course, no Halloween parade would be complete without candy. Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz and the girls from Sugar Rush make sure there’s plenty of sweet stuff to go around! Pirates sail in from Adventureland, Clarabelle Cow hosts a square dance during a Frontierland hoedown, and a wicked assortment of Disney Villains reigns over a Fantasyland-inspired grand finale.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off August 16, with events held on select nights through November 1. Tickets are available now. With all that’s new this year, I may just have to plan two nights just to see and do it all!

Comments

  • Please put Horace Horsecollar back in the Boo to You and Once Upon a Christmastime Parades. They’re not the same without him and he deserves more love.

  • Is there any information available about treats and merch at this year’s MNSSHP? We will be there in 3 weeks!

  • will there be any contests to win an experience like last year?

  • Are there going to be any new meet and greets. I wish you would bring back villains. Never got to meet Malificent or Oogie Boogie. Oogie would be a great choice since Jack is the new host of the fireworks

  • The party is at the Magic Kingdom correct?

  • Will the halloween party be at the Mgic kingdom or also at California adventure?

    • Kristeena – The event referenced in this post, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, takes place at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. Disney California Adventure Park is hosting a completely different Halloween event this year, Oogie Boogie Bash.

  • I hope the Frontierland Hoedown section continues to include Country Bears, Splash Mountain characters, Chip and Dale, and Clara Cluck. It is my favorite unit of the whole parade and I love the choice of characters.

    • Robert – Yes, those characters will still be part of the Frontierland section of the parade.

  • Will we still see the Grave Diggers and the Headless Horseman? We will be returning in September for the MNSSHP!! 🙂

    • Jen – Absolutely! You can count on them being there.

  • I can’t wait! I absolutely love the Halloween season at Walt Disney World!

  • Will there be any new character meet and greets this year?

  • Please tell me the Gravediggers will still be in the Haunted Mansion part of the parade! Other than Headless, the diggers with their shovels is the best part of the parade! Please don’t lose the actual Halloween feeling of this parade. The Incredibles, Buzz…they aren’t Halloween. It’s bad enough that Goofy lost his bike to Vanellope.

With HalloWishes gone and now these changes…I’m getting very sad for my treasured favorite celebration at Disney.

    • Taryn – No worries! The gravediggers will continue to be a crucial part of the Haunted Mansion unit, along with the waltzing and hitchhiking ghosts…. and now the Bride, too! The Disney Parks Live Entertainment team loves this event as much as our guests do, and they’re working hard to ensure that everything from the new parade additions to “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show will raise the Halloween bar even higher.

  • Isn’t Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular the name of the new fireworks show taking the place of Hallowishes?

    • Chanda – Yes! There’s tons of new stuff at the Halloween party this year. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, the new additions and enhancements to the parade, the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor interactive treat trail, attraction enhancements and more!

  • Will be there August 27th and can’t wait!

    • 🙂
