21 Signs Spring Has Sprung at Disney

Spring is blooming at Disney Experiences – and across the globe there are incredible character appearances, festivals, entertainment and more for all to enjoy!  To kick off the first day of spring,  we’re sharing a special look at some of what’s in store this season. 

Walt Disney World Resort Flower Bed

1. Walt Disney World Resort Flower Bed 

At Walt Disney World, you can spot Mickey Mouse with a bright, beautiful floral smile in front of the Magic Kingdom Park. Before you walk under the train station, make sure to take in the sight of his colorful features.

2. 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Merchandise Collections 

There are three NEW merchandise collections to find this Spring at EPCOT! First is the Orange Bird Collection that includes new, adorable apparel and garden décor.  

With the inspiring Disney Pixar Coco Collection, you can “seize your moment.”

The Minnie Mouse Butterfly Collection is inspired by the beautiful flowers of the season.

New Groot Topiary at EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival 2024

3. EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival NEW Topiaries  

This year’s spectacular Festival topiaries include new, favorite characters from “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Coco” and “Wish.” 

4. Walt Disney World Themed PhotoPass Offering 

For a limited time during Easter weekend, you can add a little spring fun to your memories with the Walt Disney World-themed Photopass offering! You can capture your moment March 28-31 throughout the park!

5. Easter Egg Displays at Walt Disney World Resort 

This can’t-miss springtime tradition is back at Walt Disney World Resort with another year of beautifully decorated Easter eggs! You can find these egg-cellent Easter eggs and extra tasty treats scattered around Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

6. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Reopening  

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is back! Nothing says spring like experiencing your favorite water park attractions, sweet snacks and live entertainment. Later this season, H2O Glow After Hours will also be returning for extra hours under the stars! Get your tickets to this neon beach bash when they go on sale on March 22.

7. Disney Lion King Collection 

To celebrate “The Lion King’s” 30th anniversary, we will be releasing a huge collection inspired by the Disney classic. You can find items for everyone in your pride, ranging from apparel to home décor at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and online at Disney Store

8. Donald Duck’s 90th Anniversary Collection 

One of your favorite Disney characters – Donald Duck – will have his chance in the spotlight. In just a few months, you will see Donald Duck Spirit Jerseys, Loungefly backpacks and more merchandise, all designed with art pulled from the vault! You can find this collection in the parks at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and online at Disney Store

9. Disneyland Resort Tabebuia Trees  

Spring is definitely in bloom at Disneyland Resort in California! You can find gorgeous pink Tabebuia trees blossoming in Disneyland park, right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

10. Minnie Mouse Floral at Disneyland Resort  

Nothing says springtime like florals! In honor of Women’s History Month throughout March, Floral Minnie is now on display on the hillside just inside the main entrance, in front of the Disneyland Railroad – Main Street, U.S.A station. This year, Minnie’s bow has polka dots, comprised of Argyranthemum ’Lollies White Chocolate’ and a mix of ‘Lollies Berry Gummy’ and ‘Lollies Pink Pez.’ Her face was created using white and purple Alyssum: ‘Snow Crystals’ and ‘Clear Crystal Purple Shades.’ What a beautiful way to be welcomed into the park! 

11. Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival 

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is going on through April 22, and it’s a great way to celebrate spring! With heaping helpings of limited-time food and beverages, entertainment and family-friendly fun, you don’t want to miss this fan-favorite festival. Check out the debut of “Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties,” an interactive show for kids ages 3 through 11 inspired by the popular Disney Junior series, as well as more family-friendly entertainment like “Cookin’ with the Jammin’ Chefs!” Come sample multiple festival menu items, using your choice of two Sip and Savor Pass types: a new four-coupon option and the returning eight-coupon option. 

12. Disneyland Resort Eggstravaganza

Celebrate spring with the return of Eggstravaganza – a special “egg” search taking place throughout the Disneyland Resort through April 9. With this fan-favorite activity, guests search high and low for characters painted on eggs throughout Disneyland park, Disney California Adventure park, and Downtown Disney District. Can you find them all? 

For you pin traders, you can also take advantage of a limited-edition trading pin set! 

Goofy's Kitchen Springtime Buffet

13. Goofy’s Kitchen Springtime Buffet 

Beginning Thursday, March 28 through Sunday, May 12, you can join Goofy for a bountiful springtime breakfast, brunch or dinner buffet at Goofy’s Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel. With Chef Goofy and his pals donning new outfits to look their springtime best and the restaurant decorated to celebrate the season, you won’t want to miss this limited-time special experience. Also, Clarabelle is set to make her first appearance at a Disneyland restaurant!  

14. New Florals Around the World 

Continuing the Women’s History Month celebration, Floral Minnie is on display at Disneyland Paris right outside Disneyland Hotel before entering Disneyland Park. More than 6,600 flowers and succulents make up this beautiful display. 

From Jan. 10 to March 19 you can also find Minnie at Tokyo Disneyland for “Minnie’s Funderland.” At Shanghai Disneyland Judy Hopps has appeared in celebration of the recently opened Zootopia, and Duffy is on display at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Disney Color-Fest: A Street Party! at Shanghai Disney Resort

15. Shanghai Disney Resort: Disney Color-Fest: A Street Party! 

Break out into song and dance with your favorite characters at Disney Color-Fest: A Street Party! Our friends Mushu, Stitch and CookieAnn are joining us for the first time wearing their new Color Fest-themed outfits for the festival starting on March 6.   

16. NEW Topiaries at Shanghai Disney Resort 

It’s not springtime in Disney without character-themed topiaries! Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are debuting for the first time in the Gardens of Imagination. You can also find more than 200 different types of blossoming flowers on the topiaries throughout the park.  

17. Unique Character Appearances at Shanghai Disney Resort 

Also at Shanghai Disney Resort, you’ll find characters wearing never-before seen spring outfits! Mickey and Friends have gone full skater mode this season with sporty hoodies, checkered patterns and cool accessories. Duffy and Friends are even wearing cute cottage-style outfits with woodland-inspired accessories like leather tulips and wooden buttons. 

18. Duffy and Friends Play Days at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort 

This spring, Duffy and Friends fun is blooming over at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort! Now through June 30, you can celebrate the importance of sharing and friendship during “Duffy and Friends Play Days.” From Duffy and Friends dressed in sweet spring outfits, the all-new Duffy and Friends “The Joy of Sharing” show, the brand-new “Sharing is Sweet” surprise moment with CookieAnn and even tasty new treats and goodies to try and buy, you won’t want to miss out!  

Cherry Blossoms Blooming at Tokyo Disney Resort

19. Tokyo Disney Resort Early Blooming Cherry Blossoms 

Did you know you can spot some early blooming Cherry Blossoms at Tokyo Disney Resort? What better way to celebrate the spring season in Japan than heading over to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea for a peek at these beautiful flowers.   

20. DisneySea Egg Hunt Inspired Merchandise and Food Items 

Starting April 1, new merchandise and menu items will hit the dock at Tokyo DisneySea celebrating “Duffy & Friends Come Find Spring!” With a selection of earphone cases, rings and a headband you can take the beautiful springtime colors wherever you go. 

Chocolate Easter egg at Disneyland Paris

21. An Egg-citing Surprise Awaits 

At Disneyland Paris, larger than life chocolate eggs will be on display at a variety of restaurants around the resort, including PYM Kitchen in Avengers Campus, from March 23 to April 7! 

Then, starting March 31, guests will be invited to crack open the eggs at Plaza Gardens Restaurant, in the resort’s hotels and Disney Village to discover a chocolate surprise inside.
