Let’s talk about one of my favorite parts of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – the candy!
In case you’ve never attended one, the party is an after-hours Halloween celebration that features a lot of must-see Halloween-themed entertainment, such as the “Boo To You Parade,” “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks, Disney characters in costumes, and much more. The party also features trick-or-treating for kids of all ages – yes, this means that adults are welcome to participate!
This year, we’re happy to share that the parties feature more trick-or-treat locations than ever before, with a total of 13 treat stops that over the next few weeks will hand out a total of 261 tons of candy. Guests who exit the park after the 8:30 p.m. performance of the “Boo to You” parade are in for an additional treat – but we’ll leave it up to you to find out just what it is.
Hey Disney fans! A few weeks ago I shared the exciting news that Anna & Elsa’s Boutique would be heading into the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort this fall! I have a quick update for you. Some of you who have recently visited may have noticed that construction walls have not yet appeared at Studio Disney 365. Why? Well, we had a quick change of dates and I wanted to make sure you were among the first to know. On September 22, Studio Disney 365 will begin its transformation, opening a few short weeks later as Anna & Elsa’s Boutique on October 6.
Here are a few quick reminders if you are planning to visit Anna & Elsa’s Boutique:
- Reservations can be made at 714-781-STYLE (714-781-7895).
- Transformations will be available to guests 3–12 years of age.
I know I’m excited for things to come. I hope you are, too!
In September 2013, we launched the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley at Disney Parks. Known for their stylish quilted cotton luggage, handbags and accessories, Vera Bradley has been infusing color into all aspects of women’s lives for more than 30 years. I’ve enjoyed spotting guests with bags and accessories from this collection at Disney Parks, resorts and even at airports this past year. Today, I’m happy to share that the newest color, Disney Dreaming, will be coming to Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney Marketplace on September 19.
This new blue color was designed in collaboration with Disney Design Group Creative Manager Patty Landing and the design team from Vera Bradley. The color features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dreaming of Disney fun.
We will have a variety of styles available with this color including a Hipster Bag, a Zip ID Case, a Vera Bag and more. In early 2015, the team will introduce a duffle and an ultimate backpack with this color.
These items will also be found in select Disneyland Resort locations and on the Disney Parks online store later in October.
For the online store, I invite you to visit http://www.DisneyStore.com/VeraBradley where you’ll also find several previously released colors.
One of the perks of my job is getting to join you in sailing to incredible destinations around the world. From my experience, I’ve learned a thing or two about packing for a Disney cruise – most importantly that there are some must-have items you never want to forget. Six to be exact…
Last night more than 180 Disney Parks Blog readers attended our Disney Side “Not-So-Scary” Soiree at Magic Kingdom Park, celebrating the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the debut of the Villain’s Sinister Soiree.
When you head for Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park, make a pit stop at Flo’s V8 Café to fill ‘er up. We’ve always been big fans of the Veggie-Tater Bake and any of Flo’s pies, but now there are new favorites vying for top spot on the menu.
With fall arriving in just a few short weeks, I stopped by the Disney Cruise Line (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/) merchandise showroom at Disney Theme Park Merchandise headquarters in Florida. Fall is one of two times during the year when a variety of new merchandise is introduced both at Disney Parks and on Disney Cruise Line. Here is a look at some new collections you will find the next time you are sailing.
Anna and Elsa, from Disney’s hit animated feature, “Frozen,” have been appearing in Disneyland park for some time, meeting guests at their special location in Fantasyland. Now, there is a new way to meet these famous sisters with a virtual wait system, which allows you to experience other attractions while you wait!
For a limited time starting September 25, the “Big Hero 6” Sneak Peek will be presented in 4D with special in-theater effects at the Magic Eye Theater in Tomorrowland.
