5 Romantic Valentine’s Ideas from Disney’s Floral & Gifts

posted on February 4th, 2016 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Looking for ideas to create a reaction like this from your loved one?

Vday 2016 Blog - Hero with rose

As a Dream Maker at Disney Floral & Gifts, guests frequently ask me for tips to reveal their inner admirer at our resorts and at home. So, to help you get started, I’ve listed 5 below.

  1. Surprise them with early delivery
  2. If you struggle remembering special occasions, your loved one will enjoy receiving their bouquet on the eve of the holiday. To enhance the moment even more, include a card message such as, “I didn’t want to wait till the last petal fell to tell you how much I love you.”

Vday 2016 Blog - Romance Your Beauty

If visiting Walt Disney World Resort, consider our “Beauty & the Beast“-themed “Romance Your Beauty” bouquet. At the Disneyland Floral & Gifts we have our new Disney Dozen. At home, a luxurious bouquet of long stemmed roses will work as well.

Blog - A Wish Come True

  1. Create a two-day romantic surprise
  2. Surprise them on the eve of the holiday with a token of affection, then, on Valentine’s Day, just when they think there’s no more magic left, surprise them with an over the top display of romance.

At Walt Disney World Resort, we created A Wish Come True – Two Day Romantic Experience to provide this unforgettable memory. At Disneyland Resort, celebrate the second day with From Mickey & Minnie with Love.

  1. Experience a Carriage Ride
  2. Create a Fairytale by booking a carriage ride at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. The driver can present your gift at the beginning of the ride, saying, “We’ve found the lady’s slipper.” Afterwards, crown her your princess with the tiara.

While this offering isn’t available at the Disneyland Resort, you can order the glass slipper and tiara from our website and have it shipped to your home to create the same experience on a local carriage ride.

MGJP48968

  1. Grant Them a Valentine’s Day Wish
  2. Fulfill A Magical Wish. The card sets the stage for this special moment. Once they close their eyes, wave their wand and make a wish, present the bracelet as a reminder that dreams can come true.

  1. Romance with Rose Petals
  2. After a full day in the park, have rose petals sprinkled throughout your Walt Disney World Resort room. At home, charm them with your culinary skills by cooking their favorite dinner by candlelight with rose petals sprinkled on the table and at their feet.

To learn more about the ideas above, just click on the links or speak with a Walt Disney World Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT. At Disneyland Resort, you can reach a Dream Maker at 714-781-GIFT.

And, to all my romantic friends reading this post, if you have some good ideas and tips to help bring out the inner charm in our readers, we’d enjoy reading your insight as well!

Create a Disney Magical Memory for Family and Friends From Disney Floral & Gifts

posted on December 11th, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

I love celebrating holidays and special occasions because it gives me an opportunity to let family and friends know how special they are. Sometimes it’s the coveted gift that lights up loved ones. For others, it’s articulating what makes them so special through a note or card. Here are two ways to share your heartfelt sentiments at home and at Disney Parks.

tabletent23481

For the next holiday meal you host, consider sharing your sentiments through the place card above. On one side of this “gift”, write your guest’s name, on the other side, note what makes them special to you. Once all are seated at the table, let them know of your surprise message. For some, this “gift” will become a treasure … one they may keep to read again in the future. To help you get started, just print the card and you’re off to create a special memory.

For family coming to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, your family and friends can help you create a similar surprise for your loved ones through our new Disney Magical Memories program. Here’s how it works:

Let’s say your family is coming to Disney for a holiday visit or special occasion and you want to create an over-the-top Disney surprise for them. Begin by ordering some holiday gifts from our website for delivery to your resort room. At the end of your order, you’ll be asked if you’d like to invite family and friends to create a surprise for your loved one(s) through a free note that will be included in an exclusive Disney card and delivered to your resort room along with your gift. They will receive one card, but it can include numerous notes from grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. surprising them with a free special message.

Oh and by the way, the card is an exclusive piece illustrated by Disney artist Charles Wissig.

To learn more about this offer at Walt Disney World, visit our Disney Floral and Gifts website or call a friendly Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT (939-4438)! For Disneyland, you can visit this Disney Floral and Gifts link or call 714-781-GIFT (4438).

New Storybook Moments at Chef Mickey’s from Disney Floral & Gifts

posted on November 3rd, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Remember your best friend from childhood? Chances are you hung out on the playground together, traded snacks, made up secret handshakes, and perhaps got into a little mischief along the way. The stories you could share, right? It’s what made you best friends. Those experiences from years ago created special memories you treasure today.

Disney characters play magical roles in the lives of our kids. And if your little one could experience a deeper connection with Mickey or Minnie, it could create more heart-warming memories just for them. So, today I’m introducing two new gifting experiences that can create a magical moment to enhance your Disney meal at Walt Disney World Resort.

SBM580686

My Storybook Moment – Mickey Mouse

This exclusive gift lets your little one experience a “BFF” moment with their favorite pal at Chef Mickey’s. The moment begins when they receive their personalized mouse themed bag at the table filled with their first pair of Mickey ears, a Mickey plush and a “Best Friends” light up lanyard. The magic comes alive though when their favorite pal visits their table to sign a special keepsake – an exclusive matted illustration of Mickey and Minnie designed by Disney artist Charles Wissig. After becoming best pals, your loved one can meet the whole gang and get more signatures, completing a friend-filled moment!

SBM580687

Storybook Moment memory with Minnie

Of course, I wouldn’t dream of leaving Minnie Mouse out of the fun!

She’ll be tickled to meet your little one and create that heart-warming experience. It’ll be a day they’ll remember for a lifetime.

SBM580688

At Walt Disney World Resort, you can have this gift delivered to a character dine location such as Chef Mickey’s to create the ultimate dining experience. While Disneyland Resort doesn’t currently deliver to restaurants, both “Storybook Moments” are also available for delivery at Walt Disney World Resorts and Disneyland Hotels, so you’re able to experience the same magic at a character meet and greet in the parks.

To learn more, take a peek at the links above. When ready, order online or speak with a friendly Dream Maker, who’s available seven days a week. For Walt Disney World Resort Floral & Gifts, call 407-WDW-GIFT (939-4438). For Disneyland Resort Floral & Gifts, 714-781-GIFT (4438).

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It’s so much fun to dress up as a favorite character and celebrate the holiday “Disney style.” If you love Halloween like I do and want to bring the party back to your Disney Resort room, I have just the trick – or treat – for you!

MSC4794083

Available at Walt Disney World Resort, Mickey’s Spooktacular Celebration feels as if Mickey heard you were visiting and prepared a party just for you. A light-up Mickey Mouse pumpkin sash welcomes you at the door as you prepare yourself for a ghoulish surprise.

As you enter, discover a welcome letter from your favorite pal letting you know what’s in store. Next to the letter, a large Mickey Mouse plush greets you with a one-of-a-kind keepsake character bin holding popular Halloween treats.

Nearby, a festive blanket, creepy candelabra, luminaries, cobwebs, hidden messages, activities and more fill the room. And when you’ve had enough of a fright, it’s just like Mickey is there to tuck you in for the night. Pillowcases featuring Mickey Mouse, along with other keepsakes, can be personalized with your name for the ultimate Halloween experience.

MSC4794081

Mickey is not the only one who loves Halloween; it’s the Disney Villains’ favorite time of the year.

MSC4794082

Available at Disneyland Resort, A Disney Villainous Halloween allows you to step into a wicked celebration prepared in the comfort of your Resort room. The Villains snuck in to … let’s just say, help you indulge in your “Villain side.”

Open the door to discover two creepy candelabras, a spooky woven blanket and a picture frame that set the mood for your “villainous lair.”

A Mickey Mouse “Trick or Treat” pumpkin glows in the room, illuminating a large black gift box that holds secret surprises. If you have the courage to open it, you’ll find a one-of-a-kind monopoly game and experience the dark side in a different light.

Check out the links to learn more about each experience. There are lots of Halloween fans out there, so just beware … these celebrations run out fast.

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas from Disney Parks

posted on April 28th, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Even though Mother’s Day is a couple of weeks away, it’s the ideal window to plan for success so you look like the hero! If you’re like most, you may struggle with finding the right gift, let alone the right size, the right card and the list goes on. But if you’ve been fortunate enough to find the right gift that created the moment for your loved one, I bet it became an amazing memory for you as well. If only you could repeat that right? Want to know the secret to finding the right gift? Here it is: For the most part, women like gifting experiences that create a memory and warm the heart, one that shows you love her for the essence of her. I can hear the question now: “Where do I go for that?” How ’bout an enchanted florist, Disney Floral and Gifts?

Today I’m sharing two gifting experiences that can be shipped anywhere in the continental U.S. Take a look.

First, A Disney Frozen Memory – Ship to Home. This gift is brand new this year, created just for those of you celebrating at home. Imagine her smile when the kids surprise her with a silver box topped with a blue bow. When she opens the box, she’ll see this card.

Blog Disney Frozen Memory STH - card

She looks further and finds another silver box with this bracelet inside. And take it from me, this ice-inspired Swarovski crystal bracelet is a stunning eye-catcher. In fact, it’s the type of jewelry that goes with every outfit. Complementing the design are two sterling silver charms, one says “love” and the other is a snowflake. But, there’s one more piece.

MDGI7475852

It’s this picture frame to enhance the experience. Interested to learn how to create a magical memory with this?

MDGI7475853

Surprise her by having the kids present this gift on the eve of Mother’s Day, showing you had this holiday planned. That alone is an amazing gift. Ladies, am I right? Then, on Mother’s Day, capture an image of each child showing mom an expression of love on her special day, something they could “give back” to her. It could be as simple as the moment where they share why they love her for the essence of her. This type of experience will leave an indelible impression on the heart, yes, I said indelible. And once she places the image in the frame of the moment you captured on camera, she’ll be able to remember the experience while enjoying the bracelet.

Here’s another idea: A Magical Wish – Fulfill a Dream. For the past four years, this gift has been the coveted offering, simply because it’s so, well … so Disney.

MDGI7475854

Imagine your loved one receiving this card. Take a moment to read it.

MDGI7475855

Once she discovers the fairy tale wand included and makes her wish, which will be fulfilled by the giver of the gift, you’ll create a memory she’ll treasure. To commemorate the experience, there’s a beautiful Swarovski crystal and silver plated bracelet included that features three charms: dream, wish and believe.

MDGI7475856

The bracelet can match just about any outfit which will let her share the story of the Mother’s Day experience that you created just for her. And since there are links on the bracelet, it’s adjustable. Then, for future occasions, you could find crystal earrings or a necklace to go with the bracelet to make a set.

So here’s what to do. Check out the links above to learn more, and remember to order sooner rather than later. Since Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10, I’d order by Monday, May 4 at the latest to ensure delivery of your gift by Wednesday or Thursday, it’s always better to build in some extra time. You can order online or speak with a friendly Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT (939-4438) for shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. These surprises can be delivered to any Walt Disney World Resort hotel or restaurant location.

For our guests on the west coast, these two offerings are not available at the Disneyland Resort. But the good news is there are a variety of enchanting bouquets available that will surprise and warm her heart. My favorites are the Disney Dozen – Princess Pink and the ultimate, Make a Wish featuring “fairy lights” in the vase. Our Disneyland Floral and Gifts team is available seven days a week and can be reached at 714-781-GIFT. And, by the way, we’ve listened to your request for adding more Disneyland gifting experiences and it’s coming within the next two months. So stay tuned!

Of course if you’re celebrating at one of our parks, check out our Walt Disney World Floral and Gifts or our Disneyland Floral and Gifts site. There are so many ideas you can choose from so you can provide an amazing memory while on property.

In the meanwhile, I believe this is your cue to be the hero.

February 13 – It’s Villaintine’s Day!

posted on February 13th, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

It’s Friday the 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day, and take a look at our banner below! What happened?! It looks like today has been taken over as “Villaintines Day?!.” I get a dreadful feeling that if I don’t share ideas about expressing your “Villain side,” there could be trouble! So for all our Villain’s at heart, it looks like this post is for you. And if you took the “Discover Your Disney Side” quiz and your loved one wants to be “the fairest of them all”, or would rather bring out the “beast” in those around them then this is for you too!

DOE69574852

Oh, how villains just loathe the thought of love during this time of year! In fact, just this morning I overheard “someone” talking under their breath about how they despise all those “goodie-goodies” giving lovey-dovey tokens of affection. “It’s all about indulging in the pleasures of life,” they said. “After all, who has time for relationships when one can take time for themselves, enjoying life to its fullest!”

So, for those looking to create a Disney villain “sanctuary” after a full day in the park, take heed.

At Walt Disney World Resort, start with a dramatic gift for the queen in your life with Roses to Die For. This arrangement is the perfect haunting mix of dark roses, twisted willow and spooky spider webs. Add to the malevolent ambiance with a surprise that lets you toast to a happily “evil” after with A Disney Villains Indulgence. Now you can indulge in your villainous side by sipping sparkling berry juice in exclusive black goblets while enjoying delectable chocolate truffles in exquisite flavors representing the essence of our wicked women. The magic continues with a one-of-a-kind keepsake: an exclusive matted illustration by Disney artist Charles Wissig, featuring our evil ladies and their esteemed signatures.

DOE69574853

So, here’s your chance to channel your inner Disney villain. When visiting Walt Disney World Resort, amaze your loved one by preparing a villain “sanctuary” featuring “heart stopping” surprises. Simply visit our Heroes & Villains page or call a Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT (939-4438). When visiting Disneyland Resort check out the Disneyland Roses to Die For or call a Dream Maker at 714-781-GIFT(4438).

And be sure to tune in tomorrow, where I’ll be wrapping up these 14 Days of Love with a surprise that’ll be sure to “melt” your heart.

By the way, it seems as if these villainous influences are starting to rub off on me. There’s a mirror on my wall … and for some reason I feel the need to ask it a question …
