Day 4 – Experience ‘My Storybook Moment’ at Meet and Greets

posted on February 4th, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

If “A dream is a wish your heart makes” then do I have a surprise for you!

Many little girls dream of being a princess. How do we know? If you have “royalty” living in your “castle” it’s pretty obvious. Lol. They love playing dress up with gowns and tiaras, and many times, they create their very own “live-action” fairy tale, perhaps involving you in part of their epic adventure? There may also be a few requests for a pony that can live in the garage, or their bedroom? You’re smiling, you’re remembering a moment in particular huh? That’s great. This gift was designed with you in mind then.

If your sweetheart has princess character traits, you can now provide her with a new magical moment like none other. If you’re wondering what all the excitement is about, take a peek at Sundays post, Show your Disney Side, and take the quiz so you can learn how to create a “Disney magical moment” for the little princess in your life as part of our 14 Days of Love series.

14 Days of Love Banner

So I have a question: What if your little sweetheart could be proclaimed a princess at the Disney World or Disneyland parks, by their favorite fairy tale princess. Would you do it?

14 DOL Day 1 - SBM

Of course you would. And truth be told, if no one was looking, you might slip in as her stand-in if need be? To meet a Disney Princess is so magical, but to be proclaimed a princess, now that’s a moment fit for a storybook right? Perhaps her storybook? Well, due to the interest of our WDW Mickey and Minnie’s Valentine Surprise, and DLR Mickey and Minnie’s Valentine Surprise we’re expanding our experiences and releasing the first in a series of “storybook moments” for little ones.

What’s included? Inside a pink “Storybook Moment” bag is a royal invitation to any Princess meet and greet, a princess sash, fairy tale tiara and personalized storybook proclamation, but it’s missing a signature to make it official. She needs to go to a Princess meet and greet to get a Princess signature for her proclamation. And so the fairy tale begins. You help prepare her for this royal moment by draping the sash on her, placing the tiara on her head, then take her to a Princess meet and greet. Once at the meet and greet, her princess will sign her declaration and recognize her as part of the royal court.

14 DOL - Day 4 - Storybook Moment 2

Want to see one take place?

Now, imagine your little ones reaction getting prepared for this moment, then experiencing it. The stories she’ll tell later and the keepsakes to place in her room will remind her that she’s loved and accepted for the essence of her.

To check it out, click on to this WDW “My Storybook Moment” link or DLR “My Storybook Moment” link to look at the keepsakes included. The price is $128.95, not including tax and delivery. The gift is available to pre-order as part of our 14 Days of Love series, with delivery on property starting May 15. You can also call a Disney Floral & Gifts Dream Maker at WDW (407)WDW-GIFT or DLR (714-781-GIFT). Your surprise can be delivered to a resort room in preparation for the next day’s visit to the parks, or you could send it to a WDW character dining location too. As her fairy godmother or godfather you have so many magical possibilities.

And, if you’re looking for an outlet to create more magical moments for those you care about, tune in tomorrow. For those who enjoy “building” a magical moment as well as experiencing one, this post will be for you. Sound “cool”? I can’t wait to share, I just hope I don’t get “frozen” in the moment. (Wink).

In the meanwhile, I think there’s a little one somewhere who’s waiting for a fairy tale moment. #Disney14DaysofLove.

Day 3 – Honor The Hero in Your Life

posted on February 3rd, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Who’s your hero? Who’s been there for you through the “frozen” cold seasons, providing courage and strength, offering selfless acts of love when you needed it most? Or, is your hero kind, well mannered … a “prince” who sees your true beauty and has a way of making you feel valued unconditionally. If so, then this post is for you. If you’re just tuning in and wondering what the excitement is all about, check out Sunday’s post to take the “Discover Your Disney Side” quiz to learn more. Today I’m going to share how you can create a moment for the hero in your life.

14 Days of Love Banner

So who is your hero? Are they a teacher, a coach, maybe an “adopted family member”, or are they a spouse, a parent or maybe someone in the military? Whatever role they’ve played or are playing in your life, chances are there’s a story and they are near and dear to you. We call their acts of bravery or courage, while they call it love. Ah, you’re nodding your head? Let’s go on then.

If your hero is noble, brave and courageous, one who is not only charming, but makes you feel valued unconditionally, here’s an idea for you. When words are not enough to say thank you, creating a one of a kind memory can create the moment for them and you. So here’s an idea for you at home.

Plan a special evening for him/her. Prepare their favorite meal and invite family and friends over for a surprise that you’ll reveal later in the evening. For those that prefer a more private setting, this idea can work just as well for a small gathering also. Once dinner is over, present them with a special memento, a “thank you” and let those at the table share how he/she has inspired them.

DTOL7536421

But, if you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you can present them with a one of a kind Disney tribute, Honor Your Hero, in the backdrop of “where dreams come true.” Just the sound of that sounds cool! It includes a personalized hero proclamation and Disney medal presented on a silver “platter.” If you can, enlarge the image to read the text on the proclamation. One of our Disney writers crafted this declaration.

DTOL7536422

How cool is that?

Remember in yesterday’s post I talked about sending your surprises to a Disney dining location to set the stage for your magical moment? Well, if you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort, how amazing would it be to have your tribute delivered to the table of a favorite Disney restaurant right before dessert? Talk about creating a memory. Top off the experience by reading the declaration to them, then, place the medal around their neck (the lanyard can be personalized too) for a photo op moment to share with friends and family.

Not visiting Walt Disney World Resort anytime soon? Honor Your Hero can be shipped anywhere within the 48 continental states. Just order online or call a Disney Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT. Make sure to allow enough time for shipping though–I recommend 5-7 business days. We don’t ship to Canada or overseas just yet, but we’re working on it. It’s also not available at Disneyland Resort at this time.

A Disney Frozen Memory-Adult Gift from Disney Floral & Gifts A Disney Frozen Memory-Child Gift from Disney Floral & Gifts

If your loved one’s character traits are more like those from the movie “Frozen” check this out … now you can let them know they are “worth melting for.” A Disney Frozen Memory-Adult or A Disney Frozen Memory-Child are two new additions to our memory making surprises. Take a closer look at the details of these two gifts by clicking on to the links above. How amazing would it be to have your gift delivered to the table of a Disney restaurant, again with the backdrop of “where dreams come true.” Then, after they open the surprise and read the card, you can place the bracelet on their wrist and let them know how they’ve warmed your heart. And by the way, the bracelets are amazingly gorgeous and sparkle like crazy.

While there is a cost for these surprises, both gifts provide one of a kind experiences. If you were at a Disney restaurant when one of these moments took place, more than likely you’d be curious to learn the story and watch the reaction.

These gifts can also be delivered to your Walt Disney World Resort room as well, for a more intimate/private moment.

While I’m talking about proclaiming a loved one a hero, tomorrow I’m revealing a brand new gifting experience for little ones at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. I’m so excited to share it with you. Want a hint? It includes experiencing a personalized storybook moment with the Princesses at both parks. I’ve got a video I can’t wait to share of a little one who was the first to experience this new idea.

Until then, would you be our hero, would you inspire us? Would you share you “real life” hero story? Tell us how your hero has impacted your life or melted your heart in the comments below or use #Disney14DaysOfLove.

Day 2 – Create a Romantic Surprise with 14 Days of Love

posted on February 2nd, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Bonjour mon ami! It’s the season for amour. So, let’s talk about creating a romantic surprise for someone whose character traits “light” you up. If your sweetheart is suave, debonair and romantic and you want to “fan the flame,” then this post is for you. If you’re just joining us, and wondering what the excitement is about, check out yesterday’s post and take the “Discover your Disney Side quiz.”

14 Days of Love Banner

So, your loved one has a way of making those around them feel special, huh? From candlelit dinners to dancing the night away, they make you feel like you are the only one in the world! The challenge is, how do you create a memory for them when they are so good at creating a moment for you?

When creating a special moment, a gesture from the heart can go a long way. It can be as simple as an “out of the blue” candlelit dinner where they can “be your guest.” We tend to place higher expectations for gifts and experiences on holidays, but when an expression of affection is shown apart from a holiday … now that’s romance. So the key here is surprise your loved one apart from a holiday with a gesture from the heart.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort, then I have ideas for you. Here’s what to do – first, make reservations at a romantic Disney dining location (407-WDW-DINE) to set the stage. There are so many charming locations to choose from and our friends at DINE can offer a variety of ideas for you. Once you’ve secured the restaurant, surprise them with a unique experience. Right before dessert, have a surprise gift delivered to your table to enhance the moment. Why then? After a meal, we’re full, relaxed and we think the moment is starting to wind down, right? Receiving your gift before dessert will create an unexpected surprise AND give your magical moment the spotlight in the setting of a romantic Disney restaurant – now that’s charming.

What would I recommend? At Walt Disney World Resort, surprises can be as simple as You and Me, and as elaborate as A Magical wish – Romance Your Love.

volvol736991

Create a Fairy Tale. And there are so many other options as well.

volvol736992

The Magical Wish and Create a Fairy Tale gifts also set the stage for a one-of-a-kind memory by making a wish, or having the glass slipper engraved at one of several Disney Parks locations.

While you’re charming your sweetheart at dinner, our dream makers at Disney Floral & Gifts can sprinkle your Disney resort room with rose petals. For a more elaborate surprise, we can set up a romantic In-Room Celebration, “From Mickey and Minnie with Love.”

Picture this- imagine walking up to your resort room door after you’ve charmed your loved one at dinner. You open the door to your room, turn on the lights and right there in front of you is a romantic set up personalized just for you.

volvol736993

Imagine their reaction – and how simple it was to create romance by letting us do the work.

If you want to learn more about the gifts and pricing, click on the links above. There is a cost for these surprises and delivery, but it is an amazing experience – one they will definitely remember and talk about.

What about the Disneyland Resort? Delivery to Disneyland Resort dining locations are not available at this time, but they do offer the Mickey and Minnie with Love In Room Celebration which is similar. It’s a different experience than at Walt Disney World Resort.

Go ahead and make dining plans for your special dinner and enjoy the meal in confidence, knowing Disney is preparing a surprise for your resort room. To help with planning, you can always speak with our dream makers at Walt Disney World Resort, 407-WDW-GIFT or at Disneyland Resort 714-781-GIFT.

Speaking of planning, tomorrow I’ll share ideas for the hero in your life – perhaps creating a memory for someone who is “worth melting for.”

Meanwhile, would you like to help our blog friends who are still making Valentine’s Day plans? If you were going to receive a romantic surprise at a Disney dining location, what gift and restaurant would you recommend to them? Share your ideas below or use #Disney14DaysofLove.

See you tomorrow!

Discover your Disney Side with 14 Days of Love – Quiz

posted on February 1st, 2015 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

14 DOL Day 1 - SBM

Have you ever seen a magical moment? It’s the best! It’s a one-of-a-kind surprise or experience that you just have to see. It’s that amazing first time meet and greet with the characters, a creative engagement, emotional family reunion, or special birthday surprise that helps make wishes come true. And if we’re honest here, when watching one, you just might get a little choked up inside (not that I’m speaking from experience at all) because it’s so – what’s the word for it – Ah yes, so “Disney.”

14 DOL Day 1 -Romance your Beauty

We’re so happy for those who experience this privilege right? Then after the moment is over, there’s something inside of each of us that wishes WE could do something just as special for someone we love. Can you just imagine their response if you surprised them – eyes lighting up – that jaw-dropping reaction, and best of all, knowing that you created a lifetime memory. That would be amazing!

And, what if you went one step further? What if you could create a special memory for yourself? Would you do it? Of course you would. And so would I.

14 DOL Day 1 - Honor Your Hero

If you’re interested in creating moments like in the images above, then you’re in for a treat because I’m going to share how to do it. And it’s not just one tip…there will be many. So let’s have fun and make a memory out of it. How about we meet every day here on the Disney Parks Blog for the next 14 days so I can share tips, and ideas so you can learn how to create a memory for someone you love, appreciate or admire.

14 Days of Love Banner

Whether you’re at home, at Walt Disney World or Disneyland I’ll share a range of concepts so you can be “Disney” for someone else.

Ready to get started? Ok, first, to create “the” moment, you’ll want to discover your or your loved one’s “Disney Side”. I created a fun quiz for you below that when completed will identify your or your loved ones “character traits”. Then over the next 14 days, I’ll reference those characteristics to help you create your surprise or celebration.

And by the way, for my first tip, once you know what character traits you or your loved one are most like, you may want to save or share your results for future reference. After all, you never know when a magical moment might be in the making for you too.

So go ahead and start with the quiz. See you here you tomorrow.

Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses

posted on December 4th, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

When you were little, did you dream of being a Princess? I did. Actually, truth be told, I remember dressing up in oversized gowns, my mom’s high-heeled shoes and Grandma’s old jewelry. Then, once in full costume, I could be found “performing” in front of my bedroom mirror. What an imagination I had … and even more so … the concern I created for my parents (lol). Now as a grown-up I get the opportunity to channel this imagination with new Disney gifting experiences that help make your dreams come true such as being proclaimed a princess at Walt Disney World Resort perhaps? Intrigued? Then read on …

While we spruce up Cinderella’s Royal Table, we are offering a magical experience at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & SpaCinderella’s Dining at Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses from January 8 – March 3, 2015. Cinderella will welcome each guest upon arrival, and the Disney Princesses will greet each table during the dining experience for photos and autographs. You will be able to join in an interactive “Magical Wishing Ceremony” with Cinderella and the Disney Princesses–complete with “wishing wands” and “wishing swords” for the children. Sounds amazing, right?! There’s more …

sftwlp12345

What if you could add on to the experience with a personalized Princess Proclamation just for your little one. This over–the-top gifting surprise provides the extravagant fairy tale treasures that make her dream a reality. Take a look. Waiting for her on the table when you arrive at Cinderella’s Dining could be “My Disney Fairytale Proclamation.”

oopoop726332

Included is a personalized proclamation, signed by a favorite fairy tale princess, a pink plush princess cape (which transforms into a blanket as well), a gemstone tiara and an almost life-size crystal light-up slipper. Imagine your little one receiving these keepsakes at Cinderella’s Dining at Cítricos! And yes, there’s more!

Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses
Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses Cítricos–Breakfast and Brunch with the Disney Princesses

For those who want to enhance the experience even more, you can add on First Wish, to commemorate her memory made during the magical wish ceremony.

Take a look …

oopoop726993

This exclusive keepsake includes a pixie-dusted wishing rose wand and silver wish charm bracelet featuring a Swarovski crystal “wishing star.” After she makes her wish, celebrate the memory by placing the bracelet on her wrist as a reminder to believe. Over the years, collect charms to add to her “wish bracelet” that symbolize dreams come true, such as getting a part in a school play, overcoming a challenge etc…and it all began at Disney.

So here’s how this works. Simply book a reservation for Cinderella’s Dining at Cítricos (407-939-DINE) and let a cast member know you’re interested in My Disney Fairytale Proclamation or First Wish, then they will connect you to a Disney Floral & Gifts Dream Maker to add this gift. Or, if you already have a reservation, order through the links above or call a Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT. Once your gift is ordered, our Basketeers will create your surprise, and then deliver it to the restaurant to be placed on your table prior to seating. There’s one catch … like any limited time offer, you’ll want to check out Cinderella’s Dining at Cítricos and these add on gifts sooner rather than later. They’re available now. This is definitely one of those “before the clock strikes midnight” opportunities … an experience that includes fairy tale Princess keepsakes vs oversized clothing and Grandma’s jewelry … just sayin. ☺

New Halloween Trick-or-Treat Totes at Disney Parks

posted on October 3rd, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

When you were a kid, did you get with the neighborhood gang to talk candy strategy for trick-or-treat night? We were all over it back then, remember? We covered our neighborhood, then went into adjoining neighborhoods, all in a quest to create the ultimate stash we’d call our own. Now as adults, the kid in us still comes out when it comes to candy during the Halloween season. Think about it – in your office, who comes to mind with the bowl of candy available for everyone? Only as an adult, we have to act more civilized. No running or screaming or shoving candy in our mouth – in public that is.

At Disney Parks, we get that inside every adult is a child that still loves to play and enjoy life to its fullest. So each year, our creative team talks about how we can top last year’s experience, so check this out.

For 2014 our Disney Floral & Gifts creative team developed a new Not-So-Scary Halloween Treat Bag for Walt Disney World Resort. Take a look at this exclusive canvas bag, featuring a Mickey pumpkin with battery-powered light-up eyes. Did you notice that at the bottom of the bag there’s “tattered fabric” to create a spooky look? The trick-or-treat letters glow in the dark, too. Then, our creative designer filled the tote with popular mouth-watering treats, including Mickey’s crispy treats, candy from Goofy’s Candy Company and more. It also comes with a Mickey pumpkin light-up lanyard for lighting up those spooky nights, temporary glow-in-the-dark eyeball tattoos and your very own autograph book to collect favorite character signatures. And get this, it comes in a Mickey and Minnie version for boys and ghouls.

Minnie Not-So-Scary Halloween Treat Bag Mickey Not-So-Scary Halloween Treat Bag

And, where would you want to take these bags? To Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, of course! So here’s the inside scoop, for third year in a row, I got ahold of the candy maps for the party so children and adults could start planning for their ultimate candy adventure! This year the Magic Kingdom Park has stocked up with even more candy than ever before. There will be two trick or treat trails, featuring over nine trick or treating locations where you may see some of your favorite characters all dressed up. Oh, and you may have heard that one of the many new experiences that are being launched this year revolves around the evil side of Disney at the Diamond Horseshoe in Liberty Square. The Club Villain Dance Party will feature a few of your favorite mischievous characters dancing the night away, so you gotta check that out. Want to see more of the Villains? Then, stay for the Happy Hallowishes Nighttime Spectacular and Villains Cast Show!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort

For those of you who can’t make it this year to the party, we can kind of send a party to you. Our Not-So-Scary Treats Tote is also part of our ship to home offerings with just a few different twists.

If you’re headed to the Disneyland Resort this season, to celebrate the holiday, it’s all about Mickey’s Halloween Party! Our Floral & Gifts team in California created Haunted Halloween Buckets to enjoy in the resort as well as in the parks! Special Tip: The Mickey pumpkin bucket features battery-operated glowing eyes and a collection of treats to keep you energized for the night!

Of course, we got our hands on the Halloween party map as well! Make sure to catch the Halloween Screams – A Villainous Surprise in the Skies Fireworks hosted by Jack Skellington and eight trick or treating locations throughout Disneyland park.

Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland Resort Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland Resort

I’ve got a few more “tales to tell” about new gifting experiences this year. One includes “orchestrating a Halloween surprise” and building your own gift from our collection of tricks and treats. So stay tuned. And remember, you can also add Mickey’s Spooktacular Celebration to your Disney World vacation and a Disney Villainous Halloween to your stay at the Disneyland Resort. Our Halloween gifts are available now through October 31st or while supplies last.

Oh, and you can also add these trick or treat totes and buckets to your Halloween In Room Celebration available at Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

If you have questions, call a Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT for Walt Disney World Resort or 714-781-GIFT for Disneyland Resort.

New Halloween Celebrations at Disney Parks

posted on September 26th, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

If you like new experiences at the Disney Parks, read on. As most of you know I’m part of the creative team for Disney Floral & Gifts that creates new gifting experiences. We meet twice a week and talk about how we can help you live out your favorite stories for holidays and special occasions (yes it’s a tough job). In this case, back in February we started a “re-design” of our Halloween tricks and treats…beginning with a discussion about what you said you liked and didn’t like from 2013. Our creative sessions are exactly what you might imagine. Then one day, the creativity is finished and I get the chance to share the inside scoop. So today, we announce (cue scary music) … the new … Mickey’s Spooktacular Celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort.

hwhwhw736901

This year we enhanced what you said you loved the most; the ambiance, glow, décor and personalization! We also kept some current surprises you loved and added in new elements you’ve requested. What’s included? Imagine walking up to your Resort room to see a creepy banner hanging from your door featuring a Mickey shaped pumpkin with light up eyes looking right at you. You crack open the door and peak around the corner to see surprises scattered around the room! As you search you find a special note from Mickey, an exclusive luminous bin stacked to the top with goodies, Halloween blanket…

hwhwhw736222

…exclusive Mickey pillow cases, shadow puppets to create your own spooky stories, a light up candelabra covered in creepy spider webs, glowing eyes (check out the mirror in the back of this image, on the right), as well as tricks and games.

hwhwhw444333

Curious to learn what’s “brewing” at the Disneyland Resort? If you’re a villain at heart, check out what our Disneyland Resort Floral and Gifts creative team developed, A Disney Villainous Celebration. Apparently they believe Halloween is their holiday so they are taking over your resort room to make it their own! Let’s just say they wanted to add a little trouble to Mickey’s surprise. Here you’ll see light up candelabras with gargoyles, a luxurious black villain blanket, villain treats, exclusive villain pins and lanyard. Take a look at the silver villain picture frame in the center of the picture too. Do you see the Evil Queen at the top? There’s also a really clever Villain Monopoly game…

Not able to visit us this fall? Then check out this exclusive surprise we created for your little one through our Ship to Home option. The story is that Minnie or Mickey sent this surprise so they could tag along with your little one for trick or treat. The bag alone is a keeper. And yes, the eyes do light up! There are Disney treats, a light up Mickey lanyard, an adorable note and autographed picture and more.

hwhwhw736004

For details, check out the Not-So-Scary Halloween Treat Bags!

There’s so much more to share so you’ll want to stay tuned. But if your curiosity gets the best of you, check out our website through the links above or call a Disney Floral & Gifts Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT for Walt Disney World Resort and 714-781-GIFT for Disneyland Resort. Give Mom a Magical Wish for Mother’s Day from Disney Floral & Gifts

posted on April 29th, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

It’s that time of year when one of the most important holidays is quickly approaching … Mother’s Day!

Let’s face it, we’re passed the age of gluing macaroni to a stick, creating makeshift broaches out of toilet paper, or scoring a plastic ruby ring from the claw machine at the grocery store … not that I ever did anything like that. Even though mom is probably thrilled you thought of her, it’s time to step it up and give her a gift she’ll love and is just the right size.

For those of us who have resorted to those handmade collectables in the past, my friends and I at Disney Floral & Gifts have an idea that we know mom will just love and make you look like a hero, no tights or cape needed.

mom537281

For the woman who has made dreams come true now it’s time to return the favor with A Magical Wish: Fulfill a Dream. Take a look. Nestled in a box, laced with a blue bow just like the color of the Fairy God Mother’s robe from the ever classic, “Cinderella,” is a story, a fairy tale wand and sparkling bracelet.

mom678322

So first, take a moment to read the card. With a magical fairy tale wand and this heartfelt story written by one of our Disney writers, this gift will provide the opportunity for mom to make a wish, one that you or a loved one will eventually fulfill. Translation – you just gave mom a gift she won’t want to return.

mom738223

After she makes the wish, simply slip the bracelet on her wrist to commemorate the experience which will also serve as a reminder of how much her desires mean to you or a loved one.

mom738383

And as for the jewelry, take a look at this gorgeous Swarovski crystal bracelet, a token she’ll want to show off again and again sharing the story of Mother’s Day. And, guess who was the hero? That’s right, you!

mom637225

Engraved with the words, Dream, Wish, and Believe, all mom will have to do is look down at her wrist to remember the special memory you created.

The good news continues for our Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort fans! Order this gift and have it shipped right to your front door, or perhaps to your office to take home as a surprise, through our new Ship to Home feature. Just visit our Celebrate at Home tab on our website and select A Magical Wish: Fulfill a Dream. Order today and mom can receive her gift before Mother’s Day, which is May 11 by the way. We ship anywhere in the 48 continental U.S., but be sure to order early enough in time for Mother’s Day. I recommend no later than Tuesday, May 6th.

And, if you are lucky enough to share this Mother’s Day with us at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, visit our website for gifts dedicated to this very special holiday.

For more gifting ideas for mom and all of your loved ones visit www.disneyfloralandgifts.com or call 407-WDW-GIFT to speak with one of our Dream Makers at Walt Disney World Resort or 714-781-4438 at Disneyland Resort.

Creating an Egg-Stra Special Easter With Help from Disney Floral & Gifts

posted on April 8th, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Remember what it was like celebrating Easter as a child? Waiting anxiously to see what the Easter Bunny would bring, discovering a basket full of treats, trinkets, and toys made for one of the most exciting days of the year?
EBS098631

I recall my mother making one-of-a-kind Easter baskets for us. She even went to the extent of sewing matching Easter dresses! And then my father gave us matching corsages for Easter Sunday. It was all about creating that family moment we’d remember for years and years.

And as time progressed the surprises we would discover in our basket would change and evolve based on our interests and passions. Essentially, our Easter basket created a story about us.

It’s that same element of story my friends and I at Disney Floral & Gifts keep in mind when designing all of our gifts and just in time for Easter we’re passing the legacy on to you.

New to our website (available at Walt Disney World Resort) you have the chance to channel your inner “Imagineer” by creating an original Easter basket for your loved one laced with the power of storytelling and (of course) the one of a kind magic only Disney can give! With the help from our skilled Basketeers and just a dash of pixie dust from our fairy friends, your story can take flight.

EBS098632

Simply visit our Custom Gift Builder tab, choose an Easter basket, tote, or cinch bag from our selection of containers and fill with your favorite Easter or Disney treats.

Become the captain of your very own crew with chocolate coins, an eye patch and all things pirate! Or dream up a happily ever after, adding a crown and a wand to complete your very own fairy tale. Celebrate 14 Days of Love at Disney Parks – Love is a Commitment – A Military Family Reunion

posted on February 14th, 2014 by Jean Volante, Manager of Dream Making, Disney Floral & Gifts/DEG

Remember our post featuring a real fairytale engagement right inside Magic Kingdom Park? We talked about promises and the commitment a promise must survive in order to withstand all that it encounters. Sadly, often times the promises we make are broken, life gets in the way and we lose sight of what truly matters. But there are those that show us it can be done, restoring hope for each of us.

Today I’d like to share a story about a couple who eat, sleep, and breath the word commitment in its truest form and have endured every obstacle distance has given them.
Misty and Eric Campbell of Marysville, California met in their sixth grade classroom and have been going steady since. Before the “I do’s” and expansion of their family, Eric committed to serve in the US Air Force. Eight years and three kids later, Eric is now a Master Sergeant Pro Superintendent working with U2 Jets and spending much of his career apart from his children and wife.

“It’s our entire life,” Misty shared. “It may not be easy, but we’re used to it. It’s what we know.”

While away from his wife and children, Eric shared he makes a conscious effort to communicate any way possible.

“We’ve done holidays through a computer screen,” Eric shared. “But I’m really fortunate I’m able to see and talk to my kids, some jobs don’t allow that, so I’m grateful.”

Following his plane ride home to the US, Misty brought Eric to Walt Disney World Resort to spend quality time alone together after their six month separation. So, to enhance their reunion, my friends and I at Disney Floral & Gifts recommended our From Mickey and Minnie with Love, an In-Room Celebration designed to feel as if Mickey and Minnie had come to your resort room to create a one-of-a-kind magical experience. A trail of rose petals led them to chocolates, a pixie dusted arrangement of roses, much like our Disney Dozen floral offering, and a spa basket for two complete with personalized bath towels and more, allowing them to step into a magical Disney moment.

Misty and Eric also experienced a romantic portrait session with our friends from Disney Fine Art Photography to commemorate their special occasion, one that would make Misty totally feel like a princess that had just stepped into a dream.

But since Dad still hadn’t seen the kids, we helped Misty create a reunion that the Campbell’s would never forget back home too!

Before their departure from Walt Disney World Resort, we gave them tips on how to create an unforgettable homecoming with our Celebrate with Mickey candy cake, made with help from Mickey, and including one very special wishing candle.

Upon their arrival, Misty entered their home with the wish filled cake, and told her children that if they wished hard enough Dad might come home.

After repeating the words “Dreams come true” over and over again, Eric finally came through the door. Talk about a grand entrance! All three kids ran and clung to him, the type of embrace you’d never want to end.

Since their reunion, Misty shared with us the kids have not been able to let go of their Mickey plush or Daddy since.

“What an amazing way to end our little getaway,” Misty shared. And an even more amazing way to close our 14 Days of Love series. This story encapsulates all the characteristics of love we’ve shared this week.

It just goes to show, whether young or old, romance or reunion, we need to take time to express our affection, appreciation and admiration for those who have touched our lives. We would all love to live at Disney, the place where dreams come true, so that every day we could experience that magic, good feelings and warmhearted stories we love so much. But inside each of us is the magic to be Disney to someone else, no matter where we are. Just like Walt did for each of us, we have the power to make people feel special, leaving a memory in our hearts forever. Now the torch is ours to take, how will we be Disney for someone else?
