Scotland is a New Adventures by Disney Destination

Just minutes ago, vice president of Adventures by Disney and Disney Parks Blog Author Josh D’Amaro announced some big news – we’re going to Scotland! Beginning in March, adventurers will be able to experience the castles, landscapes and legends of Scotland with, of course, a special Disney touch. This journey will follow the footsteps of the filmmakers who created the Disney•Pixar film “Brave.” Josh has the details:.

Did you see the new faces on the Disneyland Monorail line? Mandy and Mona Monorails began making trips around the resort this week – and they’ll soon be joined by a third friend, Manny Monorail. All three are welcoming their “Cars” friends to Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. How do you tell them apart? Check Erin’s original post.

It’s Mother’s Day, so we’re featuring one of the newest moms at Disney Parks, Kendi and her new baby white rhino calf – a boy. Adorable, right? Blog author Matt told us that a rhino birth is a significant event because at one time the species was nearly extinct.
Our new calf currently is bonding with mom in their backstage home and will join the other rhinos on the savanna of the Kilimanjaro Safaris in the coming weeks. Check our original post for more images.

This week, we shared yet another wonderful sneak peek of the Be Our Guest Restaurant in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park. Imagineers Chris Kelly and Tim Warzecha discussed the three chandeliers they recently installed. The largest measures more than 12 feet tall by 11 ½ feet wide, features 84 candles and more than 100 large crystals.
And did you see this? In honor of the 45th anniversary of Club 33 and the completion of the five-year expansion of the Disneyland Resort on June 15, a limited number of new members will be offered Club 33 membership. New Club 33 members will now enjoy exclusive sneak peeks at park enhancements and new attractions, and the availability to use VIP tour guides, itinerary planning services, valet parking and complimentary hotel upgrades.
