Reflection of Evil Ink & Paint Cel Release at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

posted on August 8th, 2013 by Michelle Harker, Manager, Merchandise Marketing & Communications, Disneyland Resort

You know how much I love the hand-painted Ink & Paint cel program, so it should be no surprise to you that I find this newest release a stroke of evil genius, as it captures a true moment of “reflection” (in a sense) by one of Disney’s most beloved Villains.

Evil Queen Sees Her True Self in the Magic Mirror

Don’t take it to heart, the newest limited edition 1000 piece is aptly titled Reflection of Evil and will release on September 28 at Studios Animation Gallery. It features a delicately and precisely hand-painted Evil Queen as she sees her true self and reflection of what she is to become in the Magic Mirror.

Reflection of Evil will be available in the following formats, including framing options and retails:

Unframed Cel – $125
Black Frame and Cel – $215
Black Frame with Pin and Cel – $245
Black Frame with Pin, Postcard and Cel – $255
Gold Frame and Cel – $285

Here’s a quick peek at the pin that accompanies the cel in a couple of the framed formats.

Sneak Peek at the Reflection of Evil Collection

For those of you in the area, several of the Ink & Paint artists associated with this piece will actually be on hand for a special appearance and signing September 28 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Studios Animation Gallery in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

If you find yourself unable to join us or you’re out of town, don’t worry, Disney Event Services is currently taking pre-orders for the Reflection of Evil cel. Visit www.disneyurl.com/CelPreOrder to place an order. But keep in mind, all orders must be placed no later than Friday, September 27, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. EST. For more information, visit www.ArtofDisneyParks.com.

Have you missed out on any of the other hand-painted Ink & Paint cels carried over the years? There’s still time to pick them up and add them to your collection, before they disappear forever. Be sure to ask the talented team at Disney Hollywood Studios Animation Gallery about the following, in case some of them are still on your list: Muppets, Tailor Made, Mickey Mouse on Tour, Hop In Jessica, Waltz in the Park, Hollywood & Dine and Dumbo. Don’t miss out!
