It’s an exciting week here at the Disneyland Resort! The ladies of ABC’s “The View” are hosting shows in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park. I had the amazing opportunity to interview Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters after one of the shows. They shared what it’s like to be working here at the Happiest Place on Earth and which Disney character best describes their Disney Side. Who said Goofy? You’ll need to watch the video to find out! On a personal note, being a former TV journalist, interviewing the legendary Barbara Walters was a dream come true for me. Truly a memory I’ll always cherish. Enjoy!

The ladies of ABC’s hit daytime show, ‘The View,’ like to remind viewers to ‘take a little time to enjoy the view,’ and recently, co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy took a little more time to enjoy the Disneyland Resort while producing some segments to air exclusively on ABC during their broadcasts next week!
In a charming and heartwarming segment scheduled to air Monday, November 18, Jenny McCarthy searches Disneyland park to uncover her ‘Disney Side’ during her magical visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
Meanwhile, Sherri Shepherd got “all revved up” as she and her husband Lamar ‘Sal’ Sally spent some time in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Her hilarious segment also finds the duo meeting memorable characters and riding attractions including ‘The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror’ and will air Tuesday, November 19.
‘The View’ from the Disneyland Resort will feature guest stars including Jimmy Kimmel, Tim Allen, Kobe Bryant and Demi Lovato. ‘The View’ airs Monday-Friday (11:00 am – 12:00 pm, ET), check your local listings.

Singer/songwriter Chris Daughtry, lead singer of the band “Daughtry,” visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning and stopped by the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith attraction. While there, he posed for this photo with Minnie Mouse. Ever fashionable, Minnie was decked out in her best rock and roll attire. Daughtry and the band are busy these days and are currently preparing for the November 19 release of the newest album.

One hundred years ago tomorrow, legendary actress Vivien Leigh was born. Today we look back at her visit to Disneyland park with longtime friend, and fellow Academy Award-winning actor, John Gielgud.
We located two rarely seen photographs of this visit from the summer of 1964.
The first is aboard the Jungle Cruise and I can’t help but wonder about the reaction of these two masters of the stage to the, shall we say, “unique” humor, of this beloved attraction.
The second photo shows the two famous Brits exploring the wilderness of North America aboard the Mine Train through Nature’s Wonderland. They really seem to be having a great time, don’t they?

On this date in 1902, actress Elsa Lanchester was born in London. Disney aficionados will recognize her as the comically exasperated, and accidental, “Sister Suffragette,” Katie Nanna from “Mary Poppins,” as well as for her appearances in Disney’s “That Darn Cat!” and “Blackbeard’s Ghost.” But it is her iconic 1935 film role as “The Bride of Frankenstein” opposite Boris Karloff that makes this seem like the perfect time to look back at her 1956 visit to Disneyland park with husband, Academy Award-winning actor, Charles Laughton.
I don’t think there’s a more perfect place to photograph this silver-screen couple than the Main Street Cinema. “I’ve said my say and that’s all I’ll say!”

It was Steve’s first visit to the park during this special seasonal celebration and based on this photo, I think it’s fair to say he got into the spirit of things!
Is it just me, or are these two quacking you up, too?

On this day in 1890, a legendary Hollywood icon, Groucho Marx, was born. In a show business career that spanned vaudeville, motion pictures and television, Groucho is widely recognized as one of the most influential entertainers of the 20th century. To this day, novelty “Groucho glasses,” including iconic eyebrows, nose and mustache, remain an instantly recognizable tribute to this entertainment giant.
I reached out to Melinda about her memories of that day, and she was very happy to see this photo after all these years. She was nine years old when it was taken and she remembers being “obsessed” with Peter Pan at the time – even pretending to be Wendy!
