The stars of the 29th annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will be decked out in festive and fashionable attire – and we don’t just mean Mickey and Minnie. We caught up with hosts Nick Cannon and Maria Menounos earlier this month during the annual TV taping at Magic Kingdom Park to see what they were wearing. Maria shimmered in a sequin and chiffon dress by Alice and Olivia. She accessorized her princess-inspired look with Prada pumps and her own belt. Nick sported a red velvet blazer by Balmain atop a Dolce & Gabbana suit. He finished the look with a candy cane striped tie and dazzling dapper red loafers by Arfango of Italy.
Be sure to tune in on December 25 for all the fun on the ABC Television Network (check your local listings). You can join the social media conversation before and during the telecast using the hashtag, #DisneyParade.

Brad is no stranger to Radiator Springs. You may remember he joined us for the grand opening of Cars Land in June, and of course, he sang two songs for the original soundtrack of the Disney•Pixar film “Cars.” One of those songs, “Behind the Clouds,” is the song you’ll see Brad perform Christmas Day on ABC. In the Eastern time zone, tune in from 10 a.m.-noon; in the Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones, tune in from 9-11 a.m. to catch all the fun from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts!

If you caught any of our coverage of the grand opening of New Fantasyland late last week, you know it was a star-studded event. Check out what songstress Jordin Sparks, “Once Upon A Time” actress Ginnifer Goodwin, “Beauty and The Beast” voice Paige O’Hara, “Dancing With the Stars” pros Tony Dovolani and Chelsie Hightower, and other celebrity guests had to say about their first experiences in New Fantasyland.
Will you be visiting New Fantasyland soon? Take a look at what to expect in the posts below:
“Elf” star Will Ferrell got into the holiday spirit during a recent visit to Disneyland park, donning an elf-inspired Mickey ear hat and spending time with Santa Goofy. During his day at Disneyland park, he and his kids rode classic attractions like “it’s a small world,”Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and Mad Tea Party in addition to the popular thrill rides. “I’m forcing them to appreciate the original parts of Disneyland,” he joked, saying he wanted them to experience the park the way he did as a child. “I’ve been coming to Disneyland since I can remember,” he said, adding that he now enjoys being able to share the experience with his kids.
There was more shooting for the 2012 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade over the weekend, but this time it was pint-sized. Sophia Grace and Rosie, the young stars of “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” were at Disney California Adventure park for a special segment that you will see during the parade when it airs on ABC this Christmas Day. The internet sensations took a quick break during the shoot to visit with their friend, Daisy Duck, in front of the new Christmas tree on Buena Vista Street.

On Friday, Nov. 2, we cut the ribbon on the first Earl of Sandwich restaurant in California – here in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. “Extra” host Mario Lopez, Earl of Sandwich co-founder Robert Earl, and the “big cheese” himself – Mickey Mouse – joined me on stage to officially open the new restaurant.
Our Downtown Disney District guests have been just as excited as we are about the new Earl of Sandwich restaurant. If you haven’t tried one of their delicious sandwiches, salads or desserts yet, I invite you to come to the Downtown Disney District and see what everyone is talking about!
It was feeling a lot like Christmas here at Disneyland park this weekend, as we shot segments for the 2012 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Here’s a look at what you can expect when the special airs December 25 on ABC-TV.
Anchoring the whole Disneyland Resort side of the production was host Mario Lopez – who will give viewers the play-by-play from Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.
Backstreet Boys performed “Christmas Time Again” in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and a packed house of excited fans.
Christian recording artist TobyMac rounded out the weekend with “Christmas This Year” as fireworks lit up the stage.

Check out what’s in store for the holidays this year Disney Parks:
“Arrested Development” star Jason Bateman visited Cars Land recently with his daughter, Francesca. Jason and his family are regular visitors to the Disneyland Resort – you may remember that they stopped by for a visit this March. This time, they were here to celebrate Francesca’s sixth birthday. They wanted “to get the year started right, with a trip to the happiest place on Earth,” he said, adding that she was looking forward to being able to ride more attractions now that she is a bit taller. But, he told me, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror “still scares daddy.”
Look who dropped by Disneyland Paris today. Acclaimed director Tim Burton and his family visited the park to celebrate the release of the new movie, “Frankenweenie.”
Burton, actress Helena Bonham-Carter and their children, Billy Ray (9) and Indiana Rose (5), posed with Jack and Sally, characters from “The Nightmare before Christmas” (released in 1993), in front of the famous Phantom Manor attraction.
During the visit, Burton was also greeted by Mickey Mouse. Disney’s Halloween Festival at Disneyland Paris will celebrate Halloween with these characters and more through November 4.
