We had the pleasure of working with Mariah Carey on the vision for her vow renewal for almost a year, and like most brides, she wanted to feel like a princess on her big day. We couldn’t think of a better place to commemorate five years of wedded bliss – and Roc and Roe’s second birthday – than at Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park. It doesn’t get much more royal than that!
The evening started with a birthday party at Fantasy Faire fit for a mini prince and princess where guests were served everything from ‘mocktails’ to cotton candy. And of course no birthday is complete without cupcakes and a happy birthday serenade.
After the celebration, guests moved over to Sleeping Beauty Castle where the forecourt was dripping in 10,000 crystals and over 15,000 blooms imported from Holland, South America and France. Mariah arrived in regal style accompanied by her daughter Monroe in the Crystal Coach where they were met by Nick and Roc clad in matching Prince Charming outfits.
The reception was filled with toasts, a few rides on attractions and Nick spinning as the DJ. It’s safe to say this after-hours private event was straight out of a fairy tale and filled with love.
Broadway actor Corey Cott recently took a break from his lead role as Jack Kelly in Disney ‘Newsies’ to celebrate his nuptials to wife Meghan with a land and sea honeymoon aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Walt Disney World Resort. On their first date, Corey and Meghan quickly realized the passion they both shared for Disney, so a Disney’s Fairy Tale Honeymoon seemed like the perfect way to start their happily-ever-after.
Asked to describe their honeymoon in just one word, Meghan declared it “magical.”
There’s nothing I love more than a vow renewal – it’s a romantic reaffirmation of love after years of history together that often becomes a family affair. It’s the ultimate celebration to remind you that your better half has been alongside you through both thick and thin.
Nearly 10 years ago today, Wendie and Sean Cheyney said “I do” in the middle of the Walt Disney World Marathon at mile 10.5 – right in front of Cinderella Castle. And today, I’m delighted to share that they’re doing it all over again.
Whether you ran today’s race with your one true love, kindred spirit or friends and family congratulations to a job well done!
Bridal Fashion Week is one of my absolute favorite times of the year – it’s when the seasons start to change and the entire industry comes together to celebrate tulle, beading and a whole lot of sparkle. And this year was no exception, as we unveiled two new Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings gown collections by Alfred Angelo this past Friday. The Cinderella Diamond Collection stole the show with its five blue-hued gowns created in honor of the re-release of the animated classic earlier this year. They’re the perfect “something blue” for the modern bride. Front row seats are typically hard to come by during fashion week, but today I’m giving you an all access pass to see behind the scenes, on the runway and what it takes to pull off a fabulous event.

Fondant, frosting and floral – oh my! Cakes set the precedent for a wedding reception and are a chance for couples to express their personality, carry out a theme or even surprise and delight their guests. One of my favorite things about working for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings is that we have some of the most talented pastry chefs in the world right at our fingertips, and we can offer couples the chance to make their every cake fantasy come to life. From groom’s cakes to cupcakes, our Bakery has you (and your stomach) covered.
So without further ado, I’ve tried my best to narrow down all the magnificent artistry I’ve seen over the years into my top ten favorites. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?
Most grooms know it’s all about the bride, but we’re seeing more and more men wanting a little piece of the spotlight on their big day too- rightfully so! Grooms want a voice so they still look (and feel) like themselves when saying “I do”.
Right now we’re seeing a lot of our guys choosing to forgo proper tuxes altogether and, instead, gift custom suits to their groomsmen. Since each suit is unique to the individual, groomsmen feel included in the big day and walk away with a practical gift they’ll wear again and again. Suspenders, geeky glasses and sneakers are still very in and a fun way to infuse personality without compromising a formal look.
Remember: whether you’re sporting a bright bow tie or fun boutonniere, it’s important you feel like yourself when walking down the aisle. After all, it’s your day too.
Here at Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings we’ve been extra busy gearing up for June, which is always one of our busiest months of the year. And I have to admit that all of this June weddings hustle and bustle has given me a case of summer fever! As luck would have it, Kris and Jeff’s big day is just what the doctor ordered and comes chalk-full of the best summer has to offer – beaches, sunshine and of course flip-flops.
This dynamic duo met while working at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but when it came time to tie the knot, Kris and Jeff packed their bags for a different kind of adventure – a Disney’s Vero Beach Resort adventure, that is! The couple chose to infuse Vero’s seaside feel into every aspect of their wedding and paid extra special attention to detail. From the darling cupcake display (with a cake topper made by the bride herself) to the shoe check, this event was truly a coastline lover’s paradise.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding is the cake. It brings people together, makes for great photos and is a chance for couples to express their personalities. Newlyweds Lisa and Steven did just that. The duo met on the Disney College Program while Steven was a skipper at Jungle Cruise, so when it was time to say “I do” Lisa worked with our bakery team to design a cake after the attraction itself.

At Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings we celebrate love 365 days a year. So I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a very special love story with an unsuspecting princess. Cinderella’s Royal Ponies have the important job of transporting brides to their happily-ever-afters everyday – and sometimes they even have a love story of their own to share…
Remember to always believe. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Our couples are always up for a good theme – especially around the holidays. What I love most about Disney Parks at Christmas time is that you can actually save on your wedding budget by utilizing the existing holiday décor.
Jeff & Becky chose to embrace the colors, smells and look of the season for their recent nuptials. Anything but ordinary, this creative event spared no attention to detail. From the gourmet cupcakes inside gingerbread houses to the elf place cards, everything carried out their theme to holiday perfection.
Whether you are celebrating the season with family or friends, all the best to you and yours for a healthy and happy holiday!
