Earlier this year I shared some rare pictures of Walt Disney at the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland park. There was such a great response that I set out to find and share even more photography of Walt at one of his favorite original Disneyland park attractions, the world-famous Jungle Cruise.
This rarely seen photo, digitally scanned from the original color negative, required some restoration, but once it was done, I couldn’t wait to share it.
What do you think of Walt as a Jungle Cruise skipper?
This week, our “Learn to Draw” series focuses on a Disney character that’s simply out of this world – Stitch.
This week, Heather Worley from Animation Academy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is back at the animation desk for a lesson in how to draw this trouble-making creature.

Halloween is tomorrow. Are you in a PANIC trying to get ready for the big day? Does finding a costume cause you great PAIN? Bad news, these two won’t be of any help. Here’s a look at Pain and Panic getting their dance on at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 1997. Happy Halloween!
It’s Halloween week and we’re back at Magic Kingdom Park creating some amazing free hand “light painting” artwork in the air with colored LED penlights.
What better way to begin a new year than with a visit to the Disneyland Resort? If you’re planning a vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth between January and March, I’ve got some great offers to share with you!
World Rhino Day is officially recognized each year on September 22, and provides a great opportunity to share information and raise awareness about the exponential rise in rhinoceros poaching in the wild. While some are aware of the declining numbers of rhinos in the wild, many don’t have the opportunity to take the next step to help reverse the decline. Chad Harmon, a member of the team who works with animals in the Ituri Forest on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, took matters into his own hands. He and his wife started a non-profit organization called The Horns and Heroes Project – an organization that combines the conservation of rhinos around the world with the passion and creativity of the art community.
As Halloween approaches in just a few days, the party is already in full swing at Tokyo Disney Resort, where both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are hosting “Disney’s Halloween” celebrations.
If you’ve wandered past Zocalo Park during Halloween Time at Disneyland park, you have probably noticed our Dia de los Muertos celebration. But do you know the story behind this elaborate display? Join my fellow Disneyland Resort cast member, Norma, as she explains this tradition.
Since the announcement of Disney Infinity 2.0 earlier this year, my son has been asking when he can get the new figures. He currently has every figure from the initial release and loves playing the game. He will be excited to hear about an early purchase opportunity on November 1-2, 2014 at Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace for Disney Infinity 2.0.
The Rocky Road Gourmet Apple is a long-time favorite of mine, and I’m happy to announce that this fan favorite is returning for a limited time in November. This month’s apple has been dipped in creamy caramel, enrobed in sweet milk chocolate and covered in marshmallows and diced almonds. Add a drizzle or two (maybe more) on top, and I guarantee your taste buds will be begging for more.
