Walt’s involvement with the World’s Fair gave his team new opportunities to develop innovative technology and Audio-Animatronics figures that would take Disney attractions to a new level. It also gave us Disney Parks fans a few Sherman Brothers songs that we’ve come to cherish over the years: “it’s a small world (after all)” for the “it’s a small world” attraction and “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” for Carousel of Progress.
Be sure to check out original World’s Fair attraction sketches and artwork from the Walt Disney Imagineering Art Library in our header section above.

This week, we’ve received some of our most exciting “sneak peek” photos yet from within Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. As we previously shared, the attraction features an interactive queue with a few different elements guests can look forward to.
One interactive opportunity, according to our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering, is the chance to sort gemstones at a 15-foot digital sluice box. Here, guests can drag gems into different trays and match them by color and shape.
Buckets of glittering gems also highlight the area – simply gorgeous props!

One year ago this month, we were looking back with fondness on a Disney Legend and looking ahead with excitement to new experiences coming to Magic Kingdom Park. Let’s take a look at what we were working on April 2013 here on the Disney Parks Blog.
Today we’re continuing to celebrate the opening-day attractions from Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a look into SuperStar Television, an attraction that let guests watch – and even take part in – live television broadcasts.
As I walked out onto Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland park one day, I noticed the Dapper Dans preparing to embark on their own Main Street voyage aboard a bicycle built for four. What really caught my attention was how easy they made it look. How do four men ride one bicycle together? I had to know … so I asked them to show us!
The “Share A Dream Come True” parade made its debut at Magic Kingdom Park on Oct. 1, 2001, just in time for Walt Disney World Resort’s 100 Years of Magic Celebration, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney’s birth.
This weekend, guests at Disney Parks on both coasts can enjoy an exclusive sneak peek at Walt Disney Studios’ “Maleficent,” which opens in theaters May 30. It’s playing daily in RealD 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the ABC Sound Studio and at Disney California Adventure park.
