We dug through the archives this week and found a video gem to share with Disney Parks Blog readers before our celebration of the 15th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s a 60 second look at how the parks’ Tree of Life was created.

Earth Day is April 22, but the entire week, April 22-28, has been dubbed Earth Week – and that gives us plenty of time to try all three of these sweet treats that are almost (almost!) too cute to eat.

I’m looking forward to the 15th anniversary celebration for Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Earth Day this year. I recall visiting the park on April 22, 1998, for the grand opening celebration. (I still have the opening day T-shirt from it tucked away in my Disney collection.) As part of Limited Time Magic next week, we are releasing a few commemorative items at the Creature Comforts location in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, starting April 22, 2013. Some of these items will have the specially designed 15th anniversary logo that was created by Disney Design Group artists Michael Posluszny and Maria Clapsis.

Come meet Tinker Bell and some of her fairy friends at Pixie Hollow in Disneyland park – and this week, you may even spot Terence, the Pixie Dust-keeper!

We’re celebrating Disney Fairies this week as part of Limited Time Magic at Disney Parks, so Tinker Bell was the obvious inspiration for this outfit. She is by far one of my favorite Disney characters. I think it’s her spunky attitude that’s most endearing. She’s the perfect blend of feminine and edgy, qualities often mimicked in fashion.
