The sun is setting on the West Coast, and you know what that means! It’s almost time to behold the sparkling crown jewels of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration. Here in Disneyland park, our guests have staked out their spots for tonight’s opening performances. For those of you following along at home, be sure to keep your eyes glued to the live streams for the best view of the action.
The Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration live stream has concluded.
“Paint the Night” is up first, as Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imagination to harness the power of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust and bring to light beloved characters and stories from “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Toy Story,” “Frozen” and more. “Paint the Night” is running at 8:50 p.m. and 1 a.m. Pacific Time.
And at 9:30 p.m., Disneyland park will be transformed through a breathtaking journey of projections and pyrotechnics with the debut of “Disneyland Forever.” It’s going to be a beautiful sight you won’t want to miss!
It’s dinnertime at Disneyland Resort, and I’ve caught up with Erin, Tyler and Shawn at French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square. While the regular menu will be available until 11 p.m., the items we picked—Royal Street Chicken Caesar Salad, N’Awlins Salad, Creamy Corn Chowder, Slow-Roasted Louisiana Beef Stew and the Market French Dip—will continue to be served until 3 a.m.
What’s for dessert? The Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration Ice Cream Sandwich and Ice Cream Sundae (complete with souvenir kitchen sink—of course) from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and the S’mores Bar from Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream!
Earlier this morning, I shared my plans to conquer the mountains of Magic Kingdom Park for the 24-hour party. I’m happy to report that my challenge has been completed. Here’s a quick look back at my journey.
My morning started with an out-of-this-world journey on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. I love the entrance and exit queue at this attraction. When I was younger, I would stand for hours listening to the music. One day, I want to recreate the lighting and decor in my home.
My next stop was Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in New Fantasyland. The Dwarfs cottage in the queue may be my favorite thing as it looks like it leaped off the movie screen. I also enjoy the launch down the first hill, and the climb with the shadows of the Dwarfs projected on the wall is awesome!
My afternoon saw a stop at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland. A special thanks to attractions cast member Miguel for jumping in my photo at the entrance. The image made me laugh after I saw it. Once again, the queue for this ride is fantastic. There are so many hidden details including my favorite, a nod to Rosita from the Tropical Serenade in Adventureland.
I finished my mountain challenge with a drop down Chikapin Hill at Splash Mountain in Frontierland. I managed to get a face full of water while riding in the last row. I consider it the perfect start to the “Coolest Summer Ever” at Walt Disney World Resort.
With so many dazzling Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration merchandise choices, it wasn’t hard to get caught up in the excitement during our recent shopping adventures at the Disneyland Resort. Ashley and I were all ears trying to find out what Disney fans were buzzing about!
Among the fun and unique happenings today at Disneyland Resort for our 24-hour event are screenings of some of your favorite movies.
The sun is setting here at Magic Kingdom Park which only means the fun is heating up! We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring you some very special opportunities tonight – the ability to enjoy our park’s amazing nighttime entertainment live from your desktop or mobile devices.
We’ve officially reached our midpoint of the Coolest Summer Ever 24-hour kickoff event. So far we’ve seen a ton of guests showing off their #DisneySide in some pretty amazing costumes, tagged along while Nate snacked his way through the park (he’s finally finished, by the way), and Steven is continuing his mountain challenge at the park.
Disneyland park is bustling this morning with guests kicking off the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration during our 24-hour event.
Lots of guests visit one of our amazing restaurants at dinnertime when visiting a Disney Park, but there are lots of quick options to enjoy too. I decided to head over to Gaston’s Tavern for dinner.
We received so many votes in our Disneyland Resort lunch poll, we couldn’t just choose one place to eat. We divided and conquered!
