Remy’s French-inspired gourmet menu was created by Chef Arnaud Lallement from l’Assiette Champenoise—a Michelin 2-star restaurant just outside Reims, France—and Chef Scott Hunnel from award-winning Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World Resort.
By continually adding touches of seasonal ingredients from around the world, these renowned chefs keep the menu fresh and ever changing. In this video, Chef Scott Hunnel shows us one of their latest creations — Jamon Wrapped Shrimp, a mouthwatering Italian-concept dish that is both salty and sweet.
If you think decorating your home for the holidays is a big task, imagine decorating a 1,115-foot-long ship.
For the first time ever, that was the task this year for the Holiday Services department at Walt Disney World Resort. They worked hard to prepare and install more than 300 custom designed décor pieces to adorn the Disney Dream for its very first holiday season.
Check out this video for an inside peek:
Since the first holiday season of the Disney Magic, it has been a tradition to transform Disney Cruise Line ships into a winter wonderland for the holidays. But with a ship three decks taller and more than 150 feet longer, the task this year of decorating the Disney Dream was much larger than years past. Here’s a look at some of the décor by the numbers:
1,016 feet of garland, which is more than three football fields and nearly enough to stretch the entire length of the ship
66 holiday sprays ranging from 15 inches to six feet
29 wreaths ranging from 24 inches to five feet in diameter
41 Christmas trees ranging from two feet to 30 feet
One 20-foot-tall tree takes center stage in the atrium lobby weighing more than one ton and featuring 300 branches and more than 20,000 white LED lights
What’s more, the holiday décor is designed uniquely for specific locations around the ship, with themes and customized ornaments for certain spaces like the youth clubs and dining rooms.
Do you have themed décor for different rooms of your home?
It’s been a great week for Disney Cruise Line. Over the past few days we have been recognized with several reputable awards. We know our crew delivers an outstanding experience at sea, and we’re equally proud of those behind the scenes whose hard work has brought forth many “firsts” and innovations in the cruise industry.
Cruise Critic honored Disney Dream as “Best New Ship” and for “Best Inside Cabins” in its Editors’ Picks Awards. It also awarded “Best Standard Cabins” to the entire Disney Cruise Line fleet.
Porthole Cruise Magazine bestowed three awards on Disney Cruise Line in its 13th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards – “Most Family-Oriented Line,” “Best Children’s Programs” and “Best Entertainment.”
What happens when you add a touch of Spanish flare to a French-inspired gourmet cuisine? You a get a unique and flavorful dish that is simply is out of this world!
My mouth hasn’t stopped watering since I first heard about some of the new menu items at Remy on the Disney Dream. If you aren’t hungry now, you will be after hearing Chef Scott Hunnel talk about the savory Tomato Ratatouille appetizer in this video.

There comes a time in every family vacation when teenagers want to get some time to hang out with other teens.
On the Disney Cruise Line ships teens have access to exclusive hangouts designed specially for them. These trendy areas offer an elite getaway for them to create their own vacation agenda – whether socializing with new friends, playing the latest video games, experiencing cutting-edge technology or just chilling out.
On the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder the teen club sits in a primo location, right inside the forward funnel of the ship. The space is decorated like an upscale New York loft filled with technology gadgets and fun activities.
On the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy (premiering March 31, 2012), the teen club is located in the forward-most section of the ship. The chic space features indoor and outdoor areas filled with every must-haves for every teen.
Dining on the Disney Dream is a one-of-a-kind experience. Where else can you eat in a whimsical garden inspired by Versailles, a magical animator’s studio or a lavish banquet hall fit for royalty? It’s no secret the Disney Cruise Line ships feature some of the most unique kid’s spaces at sea. Where else can children dance with Princess Tiana, fly over the streets of London with Peter Pan or get shrunk to the size of a toy and play alongside Slinky Dog and Rex the Dinosaur?

Tonight’s lucky family is the Farrells. They’re all Disney, all the time, on land and at sea. They told the show’s producers they have 3,000 Disney related family pictures, with 600 from their Disney Dream cruise in January alone! They were on the ship in its first month of sailing on a cruise that they describe as “the most amazing four days of their lives.”
What I think you’ll find amazing is the truly extraordinary backyard the designers built for them. You know by now that I love to bring you sneak peeks, so check it out. Mickey Mouse-shaped pool, anyone?
If you’re a wine enthusiast, a cocktail connoisseur or are celebrating a special occasion and really want to treat yourself while sailing on the Disney Dream, we have something just for you!
Rémy Martin’s most exclusive bottling ever was created with the Louis XIII Rare Cask Cognac. Out of only 786 bottles in the world, two of them belong to Disney Cruise Line.
