Readers Get Into the Spooky Spirit at Disney Parks Blog Mickey’s Halloween Party Meet-Up at Disneyland Park

Last night, we hosted 200 fans at the Disney Parks Blog Mickey’s Halloween Party Meet-Up at Disneyland park. The evening kicked off with a special reception at Aladdin’s Oasis in Adventureland.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were there, dressed in their Halloween best.

Guests were treated to a special performance of the Oogie Boogie Band, singing Halloween favorites.

Everyone took away special sweets featured in the parks during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort.

And everyone got a head start on their trick-or-treating with a candy-filled coffin on the way out.

Earlier this week we celebrated the return of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival with 500 Disney Parks Blog readers at a special event in World Showplace.

Our guests dined on an impressive menu that included the “best-of” menu items that can be found at the festival this year. Some favorites were the Patagonia Inspired Beef Empanadas, Loaded Mac‘n’Cheese with Pepper Bacon, Chef Judi Truck Stop Burger, Drunken Blue Velvet & Cream Cheese mini-cakes.

Rob, The Disney Delivery Guy, also made his debut (surprise) appearance. Keep your eye out for this character on the blog and at our events in coming months!

Disney Parks Blog Food and Wine 20th Anniversary Celebration

It’s the first day of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and we’re celebrating the 20th year of the event with a special Disney Parks Blog party. On Wednesday, September 30, 2015, we’re hosting the first-ever Disney Parks Blog Food and Wine 20th Anniversary Celebration for 250 winners of our sweepstakes.

The Disney Parks Blog Food and Wine 20th Anniversary Celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 but we’re asking winners to begin arriving at 4:30 p.m. ET to check in for the event. We’ll kick off the party with a dinner at World Showplace Events Pavilion in Epcot and guests can end their night with IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

This year, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is stretching into the park’s Future World with four new food and beverage marketplaces. The festival begins today and runs through November 16, featuring more than 30 global marketplaces for sipping and noshing throughout the park.

You can enter for a chance to win by clicking here and following the entry instructions to complete an official entry form. Your entry must state your valid email address and full name.

Also, there are a few things you should know:

  • All entrants must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in their state of primary residence, whichever is older) at time of entry, but guests of the winners do not need to be 18 or older (as long as the guest is the child of the winner).
  • Limit one guest per winner.
  • We will send a notice, via email, to the winning entrants.
  • It will be necessary for the winner and guest to check in at the front of Epcot for access to the event. The notice will include those details.
  • Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.
  • Winning prizes are non-transferrable and have no cash value.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort has begun, and Disney Parks Blog readers know what that means … it’s time for our annual Halloween Disney Parks Blog meet-up! This year, we are inviting you to attend Mickey’s Halloween Party on Monday, Oct. 5, as our special guest.

We’ll kick off the night with a special, private reception just for Disney Parks Blog Mickey’s Halloween Party Meet-Up attendees. Then, all the spooky sights, sounds and sweets of Mickey’s Halloween Party await you throughout Disneyland park!

So join us the evening of Monday, Oct. 5. Space for the event is limited and you must sign up here. Please remember the following:

  • All participants who sign up for the event must be 18 years or older, but guests of the participants may be younger than 18.
  • Limit one guest per registrant.
  • Meet-up confirmations are non-transferrable and have no cash value.
  • Confirmation will be for the accepted registered person plus one guest.

Fans Celebrate Halloween at the Disney Parks Blog ‘Not-So-Scary’ Party

Earlier this week, 300 Disney Parks Blog readers joined our team to celebrate the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the debut performance of the new stage show “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.”

‘Ant-Man’ Is a Hit With Disney Parks Blog Readers at Special Advanced Screening at the Disneyland Resort

Last weekend, 500 Disney Parks Blog readers enjoyed a special advanced screening of “Ant-Man” here at AMC Downtown Disney 12 at the Disneyland Resort. Many guests even showed their super hero side and attend in costume. Hear what they had to say about the film!

“Ant-Man,” directed by Peyton Reed and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, introduces us to a hero armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength. Master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Disney Parks Blog Readers Enjoy ‘Inside Out’ Meet-Up at Walt Disney World Resort

Over the weekend, the Disney Parks Blog team met up with more than 1,000 of our readers for a special screening and celebration around the new Disney•Pixar film “Inside Out,” which hits theaters June 19.

The group was treated to an advanced screening of the film, which tells the story of a young girl named Riley and the Emotions that guide her. Based in Headquarters, the control center of Riley’s mind, five Emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. Our readers were also surprised with an exclusive character greeting with Joy and Sadness from the the film, as well as other fun photo ops.

If you’re as excited as we are to see Disney•Pixar’s original new film “Inside Out,” then you won’t want to miss our latest Disney Parks Blog-hosted meet-up. We’re offering the opportunity to be part of a special preview screening of “Inside Out” on June 13, 2015, before the film opens in U.S. theaters on June 19.

The event begins at 10 a.m. EST (doors open at 9 a.m.) at AMC Downtown Disney 24 at Walt Disney World Resort on Saturday, June 13, 2015. And at the event, you’ll see Disney•Pixar’s new film “Inside Out”.

What’s the movie about? Well, have you ever looked at someone and wondered what is going on inside that person’s head? “Inside Out” ventures inside the mind to find out and introduces you to the little voices inside your head. Here’s more information about the story.

RSVP for the meet-up now by sending us an email with your name, address and if you’ll be bringing a guest to WDW.BlogMeetUps@disney.com. Only one guest is permitted. A limited number of attendees may attend the event, so be one of the first to sign up.

Also, there are a few things you should know:

  • All attendees who sign up for the event must be 18 years or older, but guests do not need to be 18 or older.
  • Disney•Pixar’s “Inside Out” is rated PG.
  • Limit one guest per registrant.
  • We will send an email to individuals whose valid RSVPs are received by us via email before we reach the planned capacity to confirm their attendance for the event.
  • If confirmed, it will be necessary for the registrant and guest to check in across from AMC Downtown Disney 24 West Side for access to the event. The confirmation will include those details.
  • Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.
  • Meet-up confirmations are non-transferrable and have no cash value.
  • Confirmation will be for the accepted registered person and guest.
  • If you do not receive an email from us confirming your reservation, then your RSVP was not accepted.
  • The event is subject to change or cancellation without notice.

This post will be updated after capacity has been reached.

Also, here are some other things to know:

  • This is an advance screening of the film. Closed Captioning and Descriptive Video services may not be available.
  • Please arrive early. No one will be admitted late. We may refuse, revoke or limit admission in our sole discretion at any time.
  • NO RECORDING

The screening will be monitored for unauthorized recording. By attending, you agree not to bring any video or audio recording devices (including, without limitation, cameras) into the venue and you consent to a physical search of your belongings and person for recording devices. If you attempt to enter with a recording device, you will be denied admission. If you attempt to use a recording device during this screening, you consent to your immediate removal from the venue and forfeiture of your recording device and its contents. Any attempted unauthorized recording will be reported to law enforcement and may subject you to criminal and civil liability. We reserve the right to pursue any and all available remedies at law and in equity for any unauthorized recording and/or copyright infringement, including without limitation statutory damages of up to $150,000 per violation, and nothing contained in this notice shall be construed to limit our available remedies and/or legal recourse. You assume all risks of personal injury arising from or incidental to attending the screening, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the event. Disney Parks Blog Readers ‘Recruit’ Guests for Tomorrowland

Did you see the new film “Tomorrowland” over the weekend? On Friday, May 22, 500 Disney Parks Blog readers were treated to a special screening of the film – and were then made honorary Tomorrowland recruiters. Armed with Tomorrowland pins, our group returned to Magic Kingdom Park to search for brilliant minds and optimistic people who could shape the future.

Disney Parks Blog Readers Enjoy #Disney24, ‘Tomorrowland’ Screening

The Disney Parks Blog team kicked off the Coolest Summer Ever here at Walt Disney World Resort last Friday by holding a special event for 500 of our readers, which included breakfast at Magic Kingdom Park and a special opening-day screening of the new film, “Tomorrowland.”

During the event, our guests had a private breakfast at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe and participated in a exclusive photo op featuring a jet pack and suit used in production of the film. They were then shuttled to AMC Downtown Disney 24 for a private screening of the film. Afterwards, our guests were made honorary Tomorrowland recruiters and were sent back to Magic Kingdom Park with special Tomorrowland pins to give away.
