The Walt Disney Imagineers, who are busy putting the finishing touches on Princess Fairytale Hall in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park, reached a milestone earlier today when they added the attraction’s marquee. Check out the photo below, shared with us by our friends in Walt Disney Imagineering.
The hall, which is set to open this fall, will welcome princess fans into a positively regal character greeting area. According to Imagineering, the attraction’s entrance features stone walls and stained glass windows. Once inside, guests will enter a huge gallery with a vaulted ceiling and portraits of Disney princesses. From here, guests will be able to meet either Cinderella or Rapunzel, each of whom will be joined by a fellow Disney princess.
Will this be a must-see for you when it opens this fall? Tell us in the “Comments” section below.

I’ve gotten wind that the last mystery puzzler was way too easy. So, how about this for a summer stumper? It’s a windmill found somewhere at Disney Parks and it’s ready to be identified. Have you seen it before? Remember where? Please put your answers in the comments and we’ll update the post with the answer later today.
If you’ve noticed this colorful “82” inside a Disney park, then you’re in luck – it’s this week’s mystery image. But I’m guessing few can solve our latest summer puzzler. The number can be found somewhere at Disney Parks, but where?
This sign in the Storybook Circus section of New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park promotes “The World’s Most Amazing Circus.” Underneath, there are listed a few of the “daring feats” you may see inside.
But one is blurred out. Do you recall what it is? If so, place it in the “Comments” section below. We’ll update the post later today with the answer!
Walt Disney Imagineering just marked a milestone on one of the remaining attractions under construction in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park. Check out the photo our Imagineering friends just shared with us to see one of the last pieces of track laid in place at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which will debut in 2014, is a family coaster that will take New Fantasyland guests on a journey through the mine where the Seven Dwarfs spend their days digging for gems. The attraction will feature music and characters from the classic Disney film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
What do you think so far? Will you take a ride when the attraction opens next year?

Like the Academy Awards of the restaurant industry, the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Operator Innovations Awards go to the crème de la crème of restaurant operators who drive advancement in the food service industry. And at the second annual ceremony last week in Chicago, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts took home one of five top honors for Be Our Guest Restaurant in New Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is delighting both guests and cast with a personalized approach to “fast casual” lunchtime dining. Guests order at state-of-the-art kiosks and the food “magically” appears at their tables, thanks to amazing behind-the-scenes technology merged with fantastic cast service. While the system utilizes automation, radio frequency technology and some pretty sophisticated electronics, at the end of the day it’s about serving great food in an elegant environment in a timely and welcoming manner.
“It is a fantastic accomplishment for our leadership team to be recognized by our peers,” says Maribeth Bisienere, vice president Food & Beverage and Merchandise Line of Business for The Walt Disney Company. Selected by an independent panel of expert judges, the award winners were honored during the NRA’s Destination: Celebration gala at the 2013 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show.
Recognized in the categories of food safety, health and nutrition, menu development, sustainability, and technology, the winners “have found solutions for their businesses with programs and initiatives that combine creativity and hard work,” says Jeffrey W. Davis, convention chair for NRA Show 2013. “The 2013 Operator Innovations Awards winners redefine how the industry views innovation and will serve as the benchmark for other operators to apply the same innovative spirit within their own operations.”
