This week, we were thrilled to announce that due to popular demand, “Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios” is being extended through September 28.

Yes, you can enjoy “Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!” for an additional four weeks. Shawn also shared that most entertainment and other features will continue daily, while the “Frozen Fireworks” Spectacular will be presented each night through September 1 (with the exception of August 23), and then switch to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, September 5-28.

This week, La Place de Rémy, our first themed area based on the Academy Award-winning film “Ratatouille,” opened to guests at Disneyland Paris.

Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, authored a story on opening day and showed the area’s anchor, L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, an attraction that shrinks you down to the size of a rat and whisks you away on an adventure over the rooftops of Paris and through Gusteau’s.

And did you see our larger-than-life Olaf made out of sand? The first week of “Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios” featured expert sand sculptors building the summer-loving snowman in front of the theme park. Here’s how they did it.

There was a lot to celebrate at Disney Parks this week. Thousands of guests joined in our Fourth of July celebrations at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort, and we snapped some amazing new images of this year’s fireworks displays that we just had to share with you.

This week, we announced that the world of “Frozen” will take center stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in July. We’re opening up the gates on July 5 for a summer-long happening, featuring a full day of all-new, immersive “Frozen” experiences you won’t want to miss, every day through September 1.

Later this summer, more than 50 of your favorite Disney villains will run wild in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a special after-hours night of fun called “Villains Unleashed.” And this week, we shared a sneak peek at a portion of the invite list. Cruella De Vil, Captain Hook, Darth Vader and more will be making appearances during the event.

Also this week, new Disney Parks Blog author Jerry Brown shared a look at one of the newest animal experience destinations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, “It All Started with a Mouse,” located at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. “It All Started with a Mouse” showcases Walt Disney’s lifelong love of the animal world and his belief that “what everyone will learn who studies it is a renewed sense of kinship with the earth and all its inhabitants.”

This weekend, we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of Disney’s “The Lion King” here on the Disney Parks Blog with special header images and logo. Also, during the week, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of a favorite Disney character, Donald Duck.

New Merchandise Coming to Fifth Weekend at Star Wars Weekends From June 13-15, 2014 at Disney's Hollywood Studios

And today (Sunday) is the final day to help decide the next Star Wars-themed Disney Racer to be released in spring 2015.

Harambe Nights debuted at Disney’s Animal Kingdom last night, with actress Viola Davis serving as the celebrity narrator for the inaugural performance.

A Harambe Nights evening includes a 55-minute theatrical extravaganza, “The Lion King Concert in the Wild,” which features a celebrity narrator, live orchestra, choir and special effects in a retelling of the story of Simba.

From the Disneyland Resort, Valarie Sukovaty shared a great historic video of the Submarine Voyage attraction at Disneyland park, which made its first launch 55 years ago this week. Be sure to check out the video for yourself and stay tuned for more on the 55th anniversary of the Submarine Voyage, Disneyland Monorail and Matterhorn Bobsleds over the next few days.
