‘Chef Remy’ Audio-Animatronics Figure Remains in Epcot

Judging by online conversations, there’s some question about whether Chef Remy, one of our newest Audio-Animatronics characters, can still be seen in Epcot. The answer is, yes, you can still enjoy Chef Remy’s culinary talents.

“Bon Appetit from Chef Remy” at Les Chefs de France at Epcot was initially scheduled to end in September but his appearances have been extended.

If you haven’t experienced Remy’s hijinks, you should. The rat-turned-chef made famous in the Academy Award-winning film Ratatouille flirts, dances and entertains several times a week at the France pavilion in Epcot.

Excitement around Chef Remy begins with his presentation — how he’s revealed. He travels table-to-table on a rolling gourmet food cart. Then a Maitre d’ lifts the lid off a silver-domed cheese platter to begin the show and the smallest Audio-Animatronics character ever created by Walt Disney Imagineering doesn’t disappoint. When Remy recently visited our table at Les Chefs de France restaurant, he didn’t leave until the entire group was laughing.

  • I’m really glad you’ve decided to keep Remy; I hope he becomes a semi-permanent resident! I’ve only seen good reactions to him and it adds a little fun to the restaurant.

  • What times does Remy usually make his appearances?

    • Hi Brandy — I’m told 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 and 5:20 when “Chef Remy” makes appearances at the restaurant.

  • I’ve eaten at Chefs de France twice recently trying to catch Remy, but with no luck. Oh well, at least my ham & cheese sandwich was good.

    • FYI – shows are daily Monday through Saturday.

    • Hi Donrae…yes, “Chef Remy” will still be at Les Chefs de France in March.

  • We saw him in Sept. for my wife’s birthday… he was great!!! this will give more people a chance to meet him in person!!

  • One of the most fun things is to be dining in the restaurant near the court yard windows, and watch the outside crowd gather peering though when Chef Remy makes an appearance.

  • My husband and I had dinner at Chefs de France tonight and had the special surprise of seeing Remy!! Really enjoyed this! Hope he sticks around!! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see him up close! Any chance Remy will show up in Anaheim sometime?
