Mickey & Disney Cruise Line Visits Alaska

We have a remarkable lineup of announcements in the upcoming months and this is the perfect forum to keep you informed of the latest news and developments about Disney Cruise Line.

As you may have heard, we recently announced that we are sailing to Alaska in 2011. Karl Holz, President of Disney Cruise Line unveiled the new itineraries during a special presentation at the D23 Expo.

The Disney Wonder will be “going west” with a four-month season in Alaska with cruises to the Mexican Riviera from the Port of LA before and after Alaska. The Alaska cruises will sail from Vancouver and visit Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway and Tracy Arm glacier. These cruises will combine the natural wonder and adventurous spirit of Alaska with the unparalleled guest experience provided by Disney Cruise Line.

Early 2011 the Disney Wonder arrives at the Port of Los Angeles for seven-night cruises to the Mexican Riviera – a great new year’s gift to our friends on the west coast.

In addition, the Disney Magic will be going back to Europe for another exciting season of Mediterranean cruises. The ship will continue offering Caribbean cruises the rest of the year.

Also, construction of our newest cruise ship, the Disney Dream, is well underway. We’ll be bringing regular updates and exclusive content direct from the shipyard in Germany.

And if you haven’t seen it yet, check this fun video featuring our bud Donald Duck. He went on his very own adventure in preparation for our new Alaska cruises:

  • They say not to make a Disney cruise your first cruise because you won’t want to sail on any other cruise line. My first cruise was last year on the Disney Wonder, and they are right – I don’t want to sail on any other line! The staff onboard is simply amazing, as is Castaway Cay. I’m extremely eager to learn more about the Disney Dream – is there any chance we can see photos from the shipyard as construction continues?

  • i would love to find a cruise that goes up the coast TO new york

  • It’s really cool that Disney offers way more adventures than just theme parks. Keep widening the options and we’ll keep adventuring.

  • No one does it better that DCL. We are very excited about the Disney Dream. We are hoping to cross into the double digits when she sails (currently have 6 cruises under our belt with 2 more already booked).
