‘Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee!’ Launches at Walt Disney World

“Laissez les bon temps rouler” or “let the good times roll” became part of my vocabulary during time spent in Louisiana. And it may just become part of yours during trips to Disney Parks.

We’ve launched a new celebration — “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee!” at the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. Now, the riverside comes alive New Orleans style.

The party features characters from Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Princess and the Frog” movie, including Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. It starts in the Liberty Square area before moving to the water’s edge. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen then board a showboat with a live jazz band and join other characters, including Louis, Dr. Facilier and his friends.

Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee! not only celebrates our newest princess, it also marks her Disney Parks debut. You can meet Tiana and her Prince at a special location in Liberty Square during the 10-week jubilee.

This first-of-it’s-kind celebration debuts in Florida at Magic Kingdom Park on October 26 and in California at Disneyland Park on November 6. It’s scheduled to run through January 3, 2010.

Also, don’t forget about the special movie offer for “The Princess and the Frog” going on at Disney Parks through November 22, 2009. Visit disneyparks.com/movieoffer for more details.

  • This is a fantastic show! I love how they incorporated most of the music from the movie. Only thing that seems weird is the placement of it at Walt Disney World, since there isn’t a New Orleans Square (Wish there was!).

  • This looks lovely! I hope to find more pictures of Tiana and Prince Naveen. I wish we could extend The Princess and The Frog celebration a little longer past the holidays, or I hope there will be other opportunities to meet Tiana and Prince Naveen at the Magic Kingdom the rest of the year.

The parts of the movie we saw at the D23 Expo were fantastic, and I can’t wait to see the rest. Go Tiana! 🙂

  • WOW! Tiana looks exquisite! I also would love to see this Jubilee last a bit longer into 2010 so more people will get a chance to see it in person! It just looks amazing ~ I absolutely LOVE the New Orleans theming!

  • Since the movie is New Orleans themed, will there be anything at Disneyland?

    • Hi Kristin…yes, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee! debuts November 6 at Disneyland Resort.

  • Looks wonderful! I can’t wait to make it over there to see the Jubilee! I have to say, this is the most excited I’ve been about a Disney Princess in a long long time!! Well done, Disney!!

  • What fun! I can’t wait to see it in November!

  • She should have debuted at Disneyland in New Orleans Square!! Disneyland was Walt’s first dream and the new princess deserved the honor of being there first 🙁

  • Very cool! We can’t wait to see it on our vacation in November to Walt Disney World.

  • I look forward to seeing this show, but I’m confused.

Does this show set sail from Liberty Square? I thought The Princess and The Frog takes place in New Orleans…which is at Disneyland. Liberty Square at WDW is colonial America, right? So why would our newest princess be in colonial America?

The devil is in the details!

    Still wanna see it, though.

PS, Bring back the Swan Boats!

  • Wow…Tiana is beautiful. Looks like a great new princess.

  • Tiana looks beautiful! I love all the Mardi Gras themed colors!

  • You said “It’s scheduled to run through January 3, 2010”.. It means that if I go to MK this day Can we see this kind of celebration? I am venezuelan and we are planning to spend our vacation there, so please help me to make our vacation much better. Thanks!!

  • My daughter is six and she is so excited about the new Disney Princess Tiana! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE continue the showboat celebration through late January so she can see it while we are there. We were really looking forward to this new attraction for this new lovely princess.
