Walt's Apartment Now

In this photo taken October 2, 2009, Disneyland Resort cast members from across the property pose in front of Walt’s apartment, where the light in the window is always shining in honor of our founder. The photo was presented as a congratulatory gift from the Disneyland Cast to the Executive Director of the Walt Disney Family Museum to celebrate the recent opening of the museum.

Walt's Apartment Then

Taking a look back to December 1956, the second photo shows Walt just outside his apartment during a media event at the park.

  • Yes I would love more pics and information on Walt’s Apt. Growing up I heard stories from my mom and dad that when ever the light was on everyone knew the Mr. Disney was in his room. Time is ever missed by the great man of today. I just wished that I could have met him, he is a inspriation and a person that I can look up to and remember that I can follow my dreams and they will come true…

  • Just realized that Oscar Martinez is in the group, photo (chef’s hat). I believe he is the longest tenured cast member still active in the park. He began in 1956 and is a “fixture” at the Carnation Cafe. Have you ever had “Oscar’s Choice” at the cafe?
