An amazing group of celebrity narrators have helped make Epcot’s Candlelight Processional special this holiday season. And today, some of them are sharing their best holiday memories on The Disney Parks Blog. Brian Dennehy, Steven Curtis Chapman, Abigail Breslin, Andy Garcia, Chita Rivera and John O’Hurley are included in the video:

Any special holiday memories come to mind after watching the video?

  • would have liked to have seen Vanessa Williams — too bad there was no Lights of Winter this year at Epcot either — also lots of decorations missing around World Showcase 🙁

  • This is something I look forward to doing someday!

  • Great video! It always surprises me that people don’t know about this show!

  • We always make sure we see the Candlelight Processional, whichever coast we’re on at the time! It’s what Christmas is all about and it’s the best way to start off the celebration for us! We wish Disneyland had it as often as WDW did, so more people could enjoy it.

We usually do the dinner package for Disneyland, here at home, but this year, we were in WDW and did the dinner package at the Chefs de France, to see it with Andy Garcia as Narrator.

The last time we saw it at Epcot was in 2000, with Robert Urich as Narrator. It was just after he had started his battle with cancer and was in remission at the time. His personal time to share was really moving and definitely meaningful for all of us. We were so sorry to see his cancer come back later, but we will always remember what he had shared back then and think of him fondly.

Thank you, Disney, for keeping a long time tradition going!

  • Believe it or not, I saw the Candlelight Processional for the first time this year. We had passed the American Adventure in years past as the ceremony was underway, but this was the first time I actually saw the whole thing. Chita Rivera did the narration on 12/13, and it was such a wonderful way to begin our annual Christmas vacation! If I had choose a favorite part, it would be the trumpeters who stood at the big columns along the sides of the stage. I hope to have the opportunity to see it again next year!

  • I’ve seen parts of the Candlelight Processional many times, but one year we did the Dinner Package and attended when Jim Caviezel narrated the performance. It was the same year that The Passion of the Christ was released. It was an unbelievable night! You could actually feel chills in the Florida air as he read the scripture. That evening was one of Disney’s finest moments in the parks, and I will never forget it!
