FRIES ARE BACK AT STUDIO CATERING COMPANY! As much as we love to eat healthfully, French fries just taste better when we’re indulging on vacation. And fries are back on the all-new menu at Studio Catering Company (just past Toy Story Mania) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. OK, healthful options abound, like a veggie sandwich and a grilled turkey club, but we splurged for the new buffalo chicken sandwich and give it high marks too. For kids, pb&j sammies are tops. Best of all, you can grab a cocktail a refreshing margarita (5 kinds) or piña colada at the adjacent cocktail bar. Now that’s vacation.
NEW EVENING HOURS FOR ESPN WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS GRILL. With 15 screens for keeping tabs on sports action, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill is the perfect place for a quick supper — anything from a pastrami on rye with a cold brew to a Greek salad with a glass of Chardonnay. New hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday (with daytime hours to support sports activities). And buses now run to the complex from Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Guests can redeem a quick-service Disney Dining Plan coupon for both meals and snacks.

Thanks for the updates. Can someone give me an idea of when the WDW Park Calendar will be updated with the Summer Nightastic changes? I am curious to see when we are going to be able to see the MSEP and the special fireworks at the MK. TIA 8)
I’m just wondering, as a CA Disney fan, why this FL experience is so much more reasonably priced than something like the Fantasmic! reserved seating with dessert at Disneyland, which (last time I checked) was about three times as expensive and I don’t think was an unlimited buffet?
At $25.99 this is something I’d consider. However, the CA cost is not something I’ll consider because it already seemed overpriced, and seems more so now compared to this.
Hi Pam. I believe I remember hearing that buses no longer run from DHS to the ESPN WWoS. Do the new bus routes from Pop, All-Stars and CBR run all through the day, or only during the Grill’s dinner hours? And will all resorts still have transportation to the WWoS during special events like Marathon weekend?
I was really bummed to find out the Wishes Dessert Party ends at the end of May! Is it going to come back, again? I was looking forward to attending in July…
Pam, I have heard that currently you can only book dates through the end of May for the dessert party, but was hoping that it might be extended as Disney sometimes does. Can you confirm that May is indeed the end, or will us June vacationers soon be able to book this as well? (Thanks!)
I called WDW yesterday to see about the dessert party, and they did confirm that they are not booking for June (we are also going that month and were hoping to attend). The customer service rep advised me to continue to check back once a week, because many times they will extend these types of experiences. So, I would check in occasionally, it may pay off! I certainly intend to!
