UPDATE: Hats off to each of the one million volunteers!

Thank you to all who have participated. The last day to use the free Disney Theme Park tickets distributed in this program was December 15, 2010.

Although you can no longer use a free Disney Theme Park ticket received in connection with this program, you can still continue to give back to your community by signing up for volunteer opportunities through HandsOn Network.

If you have additional questions please contact customer service.

And don’t forget to share your Disney Parks memories!

Give a Day, Get a Disney Day
We’re celebrating at Disney Parks today…the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program has officially reached its goal. That’s right, one million of you have been inspired to give back to your communities through volunteer service in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada since Disney Parks launched this first-of-its-kind program on January 1.

During the last 10 weeks, a million people have volunteered or committed to volunteer in their communities. And to celebrate these efforts, Disney Parks has offered each volunteer who completed an eligible project a free one-day admission to one theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort.

Although the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program has ended and guests may no longer register and sign up for projects to earn a free Disney theme park ticket, the need for volunteers is ongoing. You can still continue the good work by volunteering through HandsOn Network at http://HandsOnNetwork.org.

  • Our family was part of the million volunteers and we went to Disneyland last week. Disneyland Cast Members gave us a pin to wear saying we volunteered and it was amazing how many cast members asked where we volunteered at (No More Homeless Pets) and thanked us for volunteering. We were happy to volunteer and will continue to do so. I am glad that so many people have already volunteered. It was a great program. We enjoyed it and our Disneyland trip. I can’t wait to go again! 8)

  • I was all excited and when this came out I thought- no problem! I am already signed up! Now I just went to my account just to double check everything and it’s not there. I have everything all set with the volunteer organization, but it is not showing up on your website. Please tell me I will still get4 my ticket. I have my e-mails from the organization. Please respond. Thank you.

  • My husband and I just completed our volunteer project. We have to tell you we had so much fun and will definitely be back. Thanks Disney for such a fantastic promotion to get people out volunteering in their communities!!! We are looking forward to our visit with our entire family this summer.

  • I volunteered in Frebruary and had my kids volunteer also. I submitted my request on the site in January but I can not log in to put my hours in anyone knows of a support site/number to help resolve. My kids and had a great time on the value of giving back to the community. Please any help is appreciated.

  • I received an email about upgrading the give a day get a day ticket to 4 days for $20. That’s a great offer thanks. If I was to buy another 4 day ticket which one should I buy, so we can all go to disney at the same time? There were several special for FL residents thats why I am asking

  • Do volunteer coordinators for give a day get a day receive a free ticket from disneyland?

  • i really think that it was an AMAZING idea!!! It is just really sad that people that wanted to volunteer but haven’t been able to yet aren’t going to get the chance. Why doesn’t Disney try for ANOTHER million??? I’m sure there would be just as good as a response and in this time with the economy it would get that many MORE guests into the park!!!

I post this for my families and all the other families that didn’t get the chance to do it…

  • I would like to say that my family enjoyed the volunteer opportunity we went to. We also live in a very small town and the opportunities were further away. We drove 45 miles to help out with Soles4Souls. We had a good time and got to spend quality time together. My 7 year old daughter found out what sharing is all about. Thanks Disney! We are going to use our vouchers in April. First time for my daughter!!!

  • Hi Thomas:
I truly am excited that there was so much interest in this program! My husband and I are scheduled to help at a food drive next Friday. Will this still count towards a free voucher?
