Update – May 14: I just posted the “After the Chat” transcript on Vinylmation.com. This transcript is a “Director’s Cut” of the Live Chat that was held on April 29, 2010. Thank you to the many fans who submitted questions – I was overwhelmed with the positive response and hope to hold another live chat in the future. For now, click on the following link to see if your question was answered: After the Chat.
I love the Internet! I probably spend way too much time surfing the net (according to my wife). Yet, computers have been in my life since the early 1980s when I received one as a Christmas gift. As a child, I seriously believed I could write computer programs like Kevin Flynn from one of my favorite movies, “Tron” (okay, I still believe that).
Today, as part of my role as Disney Trading Manager, I manage both Vinylmation.com and DisneyPins.com. See — all that time on the World Wide Web was worth something. So imagine my excitement when Stacy Krugman, my account manager with Disney Interactive Media Group who hosts those two websites, asked if I’d like to participate in a live chat on the Internet. How long do you think it took me to say, “Yes?”
Stacy thought the live chat would be a great opportunity to connect with Disney Fans who love both Vinylmation and Disney Pins (she too just happens to be a fan of both). I couldn’t agree more. Additionally, we just launched a new 3.0 version of Vinylmation.com, so this live chat is in honor of that slightly re-designed website (pictured above).
The live chat will take place on Thursday, April 29 starting at 7:30 p.m. EST / 4:30 p.m. PST on Vinylmation.com. All of the details can be found on this page.
The cool part is there will be a transcript available after the conclusion of the chat. So bring on the questions about Disney Pins or Vinylmation, and I’ll see you on the interwebs!

This sounds fun! I’ll be there!
Jackie,
I hope you were able to join the chat. For anyone who missed it, here is the transcript: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/static/vinylmation/chat.html
Please note that I will be answering some additional questions on the chat page that didn’t quite make it to the chat last night. Sort of a “Director’s Cut” if you will (there were so many great questions) 🙂 Thanks again for making the chat so much fun! I hope to do it again sometime.
I love the Vinylmation Pins! I hope you continue to release pins of upcoming vinylmations and hopefully you will make pins of some designs that don’t have a pin yet! 🙂
I recently traded for a Vinylmation Mummy pin at WDW. The pin is of the 9inch Mummy Vinylmation from Urban Series #1. What mystery vinylmation pin set was this pin from?
Thanks!! I can’t wait to do the live chat on Thursday!
Hannah,
Hmmm … great question. I’d have to physically see the pin as I can’t find record of us producing a pin inspired by the Mummy 9″ Figure from Urban #1.
I look forward to chatting with you as well.
How exciting!!! I hope I can find a little time to come say hello! I have a few burning questions about vinylmation anyhow.
Crystal & Shelby 🙂
Aloha Newlyweds!
Great to hear from you and I hope you can join in the live chat. Can’t wait to see your pictures from Disneyland Resort Paris.
Steven…With your blog post on vinylmation.com that the Park #4 Series 9″ Sci-Fi Dine-In Vinylmation would be sold in limited amount online, does that also mean that the Park #4 Series 9″ and 3″ Sulley and Boo Vinylmation set will ever be sold online?
Lauren
Sadly, the Vinylmation 9″ + 3″ Figures featuring Sullley and Boo will not be sold on the on-line Disney Parks Store – http://www.DisneyParks.com/Store.
I did get, however, an on-line release date for the upcoming Vinylmation 9″ Figure inspired by the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. A limited amount will be released on the Disney Parks Store on May 19, 2010.
Steven – Thanks for the online chat last night. I had a question about the edition size for the new 3″ DCL Castaway figure? The release info on the vinylmation site mentions that it is Limited Edition. Great design on that vinyl by the way! Thanks!
