55th Anniversary Limited Edition Ear Hat
A few months ago, I blogged about our new 55th Anniversary “Happiest Memories on Earth” program. Well, the Limited Edition Mickey Mouse Club Ear Hat is finally here. A true “must have” for any Disney collector, it’s on store shelves now.

For those who didn’t hear about it the first time around, this limited edition ear hat actually replicates the shape, logo and fabrication of the original Mickey Mouse Club ear hat that was featured on the show in 1955. It even comes with a limited edition woven label inside the hat, as well as a matching hangtag and comes complete in a collectible vintage hat box with velvet lining. It’s pretty cool. So, if you’re visiting the Resort, be sure to check it out. They may not be around for long.

Tip: This treasure of a find is limited to 1,955 hats and retails for $89.95, plus tax. Look for it on store shelves at select locations throughout the Disneyland Resort, including World of Disney store.

Will you be one of the 1,955 who can call this special ear hat your own?

  • I got mine in the mail yesterday! I love it, love it, LOVE IT!! Hat box and all, it is now one of my prize possessions and displayed predominately in my “Mickey Room”. I do wish it had come with documentation and was numbered, however.

  • I was excited to get mine on Friday! But then I read they are sold out in the park… my heart sank a little 🙁

  • Since these are limited edition and only 1955 being produced are they numbered in anyway on the actual hat or tag?

  • I ordered a pair through Disneyland “DelivEARS” mechandising this morning. According to the cast member I spoke to, they are sold out at the park, but they will get more in stock.

  • I passed by Disneyland last night. They are all SOLD OUT.

  • I am in LOVE with this. Sadly, we will not be making it to the Disneyland resort this year, but if I could suggest that maybe in a few years, you release a “non-special edition” of these ears to the public that will not be able to make into this limited release. I know my family will own a set if you do!

  • If there are only 1,955 hats being sold, how are they handling the release of the hats? Are they all being released and sold at once or some every day? I have a season pass and I’m determined to get one!

  • If anyone knows of how to get a hold of one of these hats, please post it. I know ebay is possible, but would like to go directly from store if possible. Supper cute!!!

  • Thank you for releasing these! Stopped by and picked ours up today! It’s as awesome as you’ve made it sound these last few months on here. We weren’t disappointed!

  • Mary from Santa Barbara, CA….
How can I get one of these hats without going to the Disneyland resort??? I am getting ready to have back surgery and I am laid up in bed so is there away of purchasing these hats off the internet???

  • Looks much like the Master Replica ears from a few years ago, although without the stand and display case… and $40 less expensive!

  • Aww, and I was just down at Disneyland! Love the hat box too!!

  • It looks just like the mouse ears I remember when I was a kid. Plus, my parents honeymooned at Disneyland in August 1955 and are celebrating their 55th anniversary this year, too – so the park has always been a special place for my family.

  • That’s so adorable!! Alas, with an edition size that small, it won’t be mine. Incredibly cute, though.

  • I went to Disneyland for the first time in 1964. We had just moved here from Hawaii. My mom made us get a hat with a lid, to keep the sun out of our eyes, so I want to know if I could possibly get a MM hat from 1964? I still have my hat from back then.It looks like a Bing Crosby hat with a feather on the side. I will be going soon to check all the new things going on.

  • Michelle, I am curious will there be any Mouseketeer sweaters marketed celebrating the Anniversary? I have always wanted to purchase one with either Annette or my name on it. A faithful Disney fan since the day Disneyland opened.

  • I get that it’s Disneyland’s birthday but can a few these hats make their way to the Southeast so us right-coasters could snag one….or two??

  • Can these Mouse Club Ear Hats be ordered online ? Thank you.

    • Hey! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I know quite a few of you are interested in purchasing this hat. If you can’t make it down to the Disneyland Resort, just call Merchandise Guest Services at 800.362.4533 to order yours today.

  • Michelle,

How do I get one of these hats. I was born in 1955 and will be 55 this year. I have celebrated my 40th, 45th & 50th at Disneyland and planning to go to Disney World this summer for the first time to celebrate my 55th. I would love to have one of these hats for my collection.
    Best Regards,
    Vickie P.
